Dolphins release linebacker Jake Knott

The Dolphins released linebacker Jake Knott on Friday, the team announced.

Knott announced via Twitter that he had to undergo surgery to repair the meniscus in his knee, which will likely keep him out 4 to 5 months.

Knott saw action in one game for the Dolphins last season.
