  • Chris Duarte: Cut by Chicago

The Bulls waived Duarte on Monday.

Duarte was cut along with Torrey Craig, as the Bulls needed to clear up two roster spots after acquiring three players in the three-team deal that sent Zach LaVine to Sacramento. The 27-year-old Duarte rarely saw the floor for Chicago this season, appearing in 17 games and averaging 4.4 minutes.

  • Bulls' Chris Duarte: Plays final minute of loss

Duarte took the court for the final 1:22 of Sunday's 127-119 loss to the Pistons, finishing with zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and one assist.

Duarte made his first appearance for the Bulls since Jan. 15, which was also a one-minute cameo in garbage time of a loss. Following Sunday's game, the Bulls agreed to deal Zach LaVine (personal) to the Kings in a three-team trade, but with Chicago getting back Tre Jones, Zach Collins and Kevin Huerter in the trade, Duarte's path to playing time still looks to be blocked.

  • Bulls' Chris Duarte: Cleared for Monday

Duarte (personal) is off the injury report for Monday's game against the Nuggets.

Duarte will return from a four-game absence due to personal reasons Monday. However, his availability shouldn't cause any waves in the rotation, as he has averaged 4.6 minutes per game across 16 regular-season appearances.

  • Bulls' Chris Duarte: Out vs. Philadelphia

Duarte (personal) is out for Saturday's game against the 76ers.

Duarte has missed the Bulls' last four games for personal reasons, and he doesn't have a clear timetable for his return. His next chance to play will come against the Nuggets on Monday.

  • Bulls' Chris Duarte: Iffy for Saturday

Duarte (personal) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game versus the 76ers.

Duarte has missed Chicago's last three contests due to personal reasons. Even if Duarte is downgraded to out Saturday, it won't significantly impact the team's rotation.

  • Bulls' Chris Duarte: Missing another game

Duarte (personal) is listed out for Thursday's game against the Warriors.

Duarte will miss a third straight game while he tends to a personal matter. The 27-year-old hasn't been a mainstay in the rotation this season, so his absence will likely go largely unnoticed.

  • Bulls' Chris Duarte: Ruled out for Monday

Duarte (personal) won't play Monday against the Clippers.

Duarte has just 16 appearances to his name this season for an average of 4.6 minutes.

  • Bulls' Chris Duarte: Out for personal reasons

Duarte is out for Sunday's game against the Trail Blazers due to personal reasons, K.C. Johnson of Chicago Sports Network reports.

Duarte doesn't have a big role in the rotation, so his absence won't affect many fantasy decisions. His next chance to play will come in the second leg of a back-to-back set against the Clippers on Monday.

  • Bulls' Chris Duarte: Season-high 14 minutes in loss

Duarte recorded five points (2-5 FG, 1-5 3Pt), three boards and three assists in 14 minutes of action during the 129-113 loss to the Pacers on Wednesday.

The fourth-year guard played in his first game since December 23 but wasn't able to contribute much of note. Wednesday's outing marked just the fourth time this season Duarte's been able to score five or more points. His next chance to take the court will come Friday against the Wizards.

  • Bulls' Chris Duarte: Makes return from G League

The Bulls recalled Duarte from the G League's Windy City Bulls on Saturday.

Chicago sent Duarte down to the G League to pick up some minutes after he hadn't been able to carve out a rotation spot at the NBA level this season. He'll be available for Saturday's game against the Celtics but likely won't be in store for playing time outside of a blowout scenario.

  • Bulls' Chris Duarte: Contributes off bench in blowout

Duarte closed Sunday's 143-107 loss to the Rockets with six points (2-4 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and two rebounds over 12 minutes.

Duarte tallied a double-digit minute total for the first time this season in Sunday's blowout loss, connecting on a pair of shots while finishing as one of seven Bulls bench players with at least five points. Duarte posted his second-highest point total this year, and he's now recorded at least a trio of points in four outings.

  • Bulls' Chris Duarte: Traded to Chicago

Duarte has been traded to the Bulls as part of the deal that sent DeMar DeRozan to the Kings, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

Duarte will add depth on the wings for the Bulls, though it's unclear if he'll have much of a role with the team outside of being a bench option. He made 11 starts and 59 total regular-season appearances for the Kings in 2023-24, and his averages of 3.9 points and 1.8 boards per game aren't enough to make him appealing in fantasy even if he ends up having a more significant role with the Bulls compared to the one he had in Sacramento.

  • Kings' Chris Duarte: Hits rock bottom in loss

Duarte posted no counting stats over zero minutes during Saturday's 98-91 loss to the Knicks.

Duarte played just eight seconds in the loss, continuing his terrible season. He is well outside the top 300 for the season, often spending his entire evening sitting on the bench. Outside of some very specific streaming opportunities, Duarte can be safely ignored in most fantasy formats.

  • Kings' Chris Duarte: Emerges with 18 points Wednesday

Duarte ended with 18 points (7-14 FG, 4-8 3Pt), three rebounds, one assist, two blocks and two steals over 26 minutes during Wednesday's 117-96 loss to the Nuggets.

Duarte came into Wednesday averaging just 3.6 points in February, and he had logged more DNPs (six) than games played (five). However, the third-year pro got some extra run in the blowout loss and finished as Sacramento's second-leading scorer with a season-high 18 points. It remains to be seen if the performance will lead to more playing time for Duarte moving forward, but it was at least a positive performance in what has been an overall disappointing campaign for the 26-year-old.
