Jakucionis finished with 15 points (4-12 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 6-6 FT), five rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block across 28 minutes during Thursday's 108-88 Summer League loss to the Pistons.
Jakucionis played well defensively while also making an impact offensively despite some poor shooting. The Illinois product has now recorded two steals in each of his last two games during the Las Vegas Summer League.

Heat's Kasparas Jakucionis: Suiting up Thursday
Jakucionis is available and starting Thursday's Summer League game against the Pistons.
After sitting out Monday's 100-96 win over the Celtics, Jakucionis is good to go for Thursday's exhibition contest. The rookie first-rounder should play a fairly significant role against Detroit, having averaged 8.4 points, 2.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.4 steals in 23.7 minutes per game across five Summer League outings.

Heat's Kasparas Jakucionis: Doesn't see floor
Jakucionis (undisclosed) did not see the floor in Monday's 100-96 Summer League win over the Celtics.
Although Jakucionis was available to play according to Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald, he was held out for unknown reasons. He already has five appearances in the Summer League, so the team may be shutting him down early for rest purposes.

Heat's Kasparas Jakucionis: Massive game in Las Vegas debut
Jakucionis generated 24 points (7-12 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 5-5 FT), four rebounds, four assists and two steals during Friday's 105-98 loss to Atlanta in Summer League.
Jakucionis shot 1-for-15 from the field and had a 6:12 assist-to-turnover ratio during three appearances in the California Classic. He rebounded in a big way Friday, catching fire from three-point land and turning the ball over just two times in 28 minutes. The Illinois product was the only Heat player to hit the 20-point milestone.

Heat's Kasparas Jakucionis: Will play vs. Atlanta
Jakucionis (knee) has been cleared to play in Friday's Summer League game against the Hawks, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Jakucionis' status was up in the air after suffering a knee injury in Tuesday's game against the Lakers in the California Classic. However, he will suit up for the first game of the Summer League in Las Vegas for Miami.

Heat's Kasparas Jakucionis: Summer League struggles continue
Jukucionis had five points (0-5 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 5-6 FT), four rebounds, three assists and one steal across 22 minutes in Tuesday's 93-79 Summer League win over the Warriors.
Jakucionis has experienced shooting woes through three Summer League appearances, shooting just 1-for-15 from the field. During that span, he has averaged 4.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.3 steals across 21.9 minutes per game. The No. 20 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, Jakucionis has shot 0-for-11 from three-point range in Summer League play. He shot 31.8 percent from beyond the arc in his lone season at Illinois and will look to continue developing his perimeter game at the NBA level.

Heat's Kasparas Jakucionis: Another lackluster SL outing
Jakucionis recorded four points (0-3 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three steals, two assists and a rebound in 21 minutes during Sunday's 103-83 Summer League loss to the Lakers.
Jakucionis has had a slow start at the California Classic Summer League, logging a total of seven points through two outings. Much of his volume to this point has come from beyond the arc, where he is yet to make a shot in seven attempts. The 20th overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft will look to bounce back Tuesday against the Warriors.

Heat's Kasparas Jakucionis: Struggles in Summer League
Jakucionis finished with three points (1-7 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), one rebound and one assist in 22 minutes during Saturday's 82-69 Summer League win over San Antonio.
This was a rough first showing for Jakucionis, Miami's No. 20 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. Despite his struggles Saturday, it appears he had the green light to let it fly from beyond the arc. That's an area he'll need to refine, as he shot 31.8 percent on his three-point attempts at Illinois.

Heat's Kasparas Jakucionis: Taken by Miami
Jakucionis was selected by the Heat with the No. 20 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.
Jakucionis has a lot of international and college experience. He played for FC Barcelona, both at the youth and senior levels, between the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons before jumping stateside to play for Illinois. As a one-and-done freshman, Jakucionis played 31.9 minutes per game and averaged 15.0 points, 5.7 rebounds and 4.7 assists as a combo guard capable of playing both roles in the backcourt. Jakucionis figures to see minutes off the bench as a rookie, but it's not out of the question that his role might grow as the season progresses -- as long as he adjusts well to the pace of The Association. His passing ability should play very well at the next level.
