Jerome agreed to a three-year, $28 million deal with the Grizzlies on Monday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
The 27-year-old point guard will head to Memphis, where he's expected to back up Ja Morant (hip). Jerome had a breakout season in 2024-25, finishing third in Sixth Man of the Year voting. He averaged 12.5 points, 3.4 assists, 2.5 rebounds, 1.6 three-pointers and 1.1 steals across 19.9 minutes per contest in 70 regular-season appearances (three starts) with Cleveland.
Jerome closed Tuesday's 114-105 loss to the Pacers in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals with eight points (3-5 FG, 2-3 3Pt), two assists and one steal in 11 minutes.
Jerome was quiet in the Game 5 loss, rounding out what was a breakout season, at least from an individual standpoint. However, despite closing the season with a scoring average of 12.4 points per game, Jerome's output during the playoffs was largely underwhelming. Over the final four games, he averaged 4.7 points, 1.3 assists, 0.3 steals and 0.7 three-pointers.
Jerome is not in the Cavaliers' starting lineup in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Pacers on Friday.
Jerome struggled in his spot start in Game 2 on Tuesday, going 1-for-14 from the field and finishing with two points, three assists and two rebounds over 28 minutes. He'll retreat to the bench for Friday's crucial contest while Darius Garland (toe) returns from a four-game absence. Jerome played a key role off the Cavaliers' bench during the regular season, averaging 12.5 points, 3.4 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 1.1 steals over 19.9 minutes per game.

Jerome moved into the starting lineup as a result of multiple absences from the regular rotation. Although it has been a breakout season for Jerome, he was unable to provide anything of value in a disappointing loss. Darius Garland (toe) has now missed four straight games and despite the urgency, could certainly be sidelined once again for Game 3. Jerome remains one of the most consistent players in the Cavaliers' second unit. The Virginia product attempted 20 shots in Game 1, only second to Donovan Mitchell (30) in this series opener. Outside a career-high 28 points in Game 1 against the Heat in the first round, Sunday's performance was his second-highest point total in Jerome's postseason career.
