Brunson (ankle) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Heat.
Brunson will miss his second consecutive contest after spraining his right ankle in Wednesday's loss to Orlando. Knicks' Jalen Brunson: Could miss upcoming road trip
Brunson (ankle), who's already been ruled out for Friday's game against Miami, might not travel with the team during its five-game road trip, which begins Monday, Stefan Bondy of The New York Post reports.
Head coach Mike Brown offered the update, which paints a bleaker picture than an earlier report that indicated Brunson would be evaluated daily. If Brunson doesn't join the Knicks on the road trip, his next chance to play would come Oct. 28 against Milwaukee. A more definitive timeline for return should come before the Knicks depart New York. Miles McBride, Jordan Clarkson and Tyler Kolek are slated for larger roles if Brunson is sidelined.

Brunson posted 31 points (10-23 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 10-13 FT), six assists and three rebounds over 37 minutes during the Knicks' 124-107 loss to the Magic on Wednesday.
The Knicks struggled on offense Wednesday, as Brunson was the only New York player to score more than 20 points in the loss. He did most of his damage from the charity stripe, where he attempted a season-high 13 free throws. Through six games in November, Brunson has averaged 25.3 points on 45.2 percent shooting, 7.,5 assists, 3.5 rebounds, 0.7 steals and 3.0 threes across 33.2 minutes per game.

Knicks' Jalen Brunson: Exits arena in walking boot
Brunson was spotted leaving Madison Square Garden following Wednesday's 124-107 loss to Orlando using crutches and wearing a walking boot, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.
Per Steve Popper of Newsday, Knicks head coach Mike Brown said postgame that Brunson rolled his right ankle in the closing minutes of Wednesday's loss. Brunson's use of crutches and a walking boot certainly isn't a good sign, but at this point, specifics regarding the injury are unknown. Expect more clarity to be provided ahead of Friday's game against the Heat.

Knicks' Jalen Brunson: Double-doubles in win
Brunson produced 23 points (9-20 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 10 assists, seven rebounds, one steal and four turnovers in 33 minutes during Wednesday's 137-114 win over the Wolves.
Brunson was coming off a game in which he scored a season-low 16 points on 6-of-17 shooting, but he was able to get things back on track with an efficient scoring game. Knicks' Jalen Brunson: Nears double-double in win
Brunson notched 16 points (6-17 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT), nine assists, one rebound and one steal across 32 minutes in Monday's 119-102 win over the Wizards.
Brunson delivered an inefficient performance but was still one of four Knicks players to score 15-plus points. The star point guard also dished out a game- and season-high nine assists, finishing one assist shy of his total over the team's previous two games. After another lackluster night from beyond the arc, Brunson is now shooting 32.1 percent from three-point range through seven regular-season games.

Brunson continued his strong start to the season, scoring at least 30 points for the third straight game. While the production was certainly more than adequate, the bigger talking point came late in the game when he appeared to hurt his groin. Brunson will continue to operate as the focal point of the Knicks' offense and will look to improve on his numbers from the 2024-25 regular season, when he averaged 26.0 points and 7.3 assists over 35.4 minutes per game while shooting 48.8 percent from the field.

Knicks' Jalen Brunson: Inefficient from field in opener
Brunson closed with 23 points (5-18 FG, 1-9 3Pt, 12-13 FT), five assists and four rebounds in 34 minutes during Wednesday's 119-111 win over Cleveland.
Brunson wasn't at his sharpest Wednesday, shooting just 27.8 percent from the field and 11.1 percent from beyond the arc, though steady work at the free-throw line helped him reach 23 points. Even with plenty of capable scorers around him, the 29-year-old remains the driving force of the New York offense and can still find ways to produce when his jumper isn't falling. Last season, the star guard averaged 26.0 points, 7.3 assists and 2.9 rebounds while shooting 48.8 percent from the field and 38.3 percent from three over 65 regular-season games.
