Hornets' Seth Curry: Goes through practice
Curry (ankle) participated in Tuesday's practice to open training camp.
Curry missed the end of the 2023-24 campaign with a right ankle sprain, but there's been no report of any limitations to open camp. Curry made eight appearances after being acquired from Dallas, posting averages of 9.0 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists. He'll likely be competing for a minor role in the backcourt with the Hornets getting a lot of healthy bodies back, including LaMelo Ball.

Hornets' Seth Curry: Returning to Charlotte
Curry (ankle) agreed to a one-year contract with the Hornets on Monday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
The Hornets acquired Curry from the Mavericks on Feb. 8, and he proceeded to average 9.0 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists in his eight appearances with Charlotte before being shut down for the rest of the season with a right ankle sprain. If he's not yet fully healthy, Curry should be ready to go for the start of training camp, and even though the Hornets don't profile as contenders during the upcoming season, the 33-year-old Charlotte native was still eager to re-sign with his hometown club. He'll face plenty of competition for playing time in Charlotte's backcourt, as he'll go up against the likes of Vasilije Micic, Tre Mann and Reggie Jackson.

Hornets' Seth Curry: Let go by Charlotte
The Hornets waived Curry (ankle) on Friday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
Curry was traded from the Mavericks to the Hornets in February but had his season cut short due to a right ankle sprain. Across his 43 appearances for Dallas and Charlotte, Curry averaged 5.3 points, 1.6 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 0.9 three-pointers in 14.3 minutes. While the 33-year-old Curry will head into the offseason as a free agent, both he and the Hornets reportedly have interest in reuniting on a lower-cost deal.

Hornets' Seth Curry: Starting basketball activities soon
Curry said Monday during his exit interview that he's dealing with a Grade 3 right ankle sprain and hopes to begin basketball activities in a couple of weeks, Sam Perley of the Hornets' official site reports.
Curry suffered the injury at the beginning of March and was shut down for the rest of the season. Lingering ankle issues plagued the sharpshooter all season, and he finished with just 43 appearances (four starts), averaging 5.3 points -- his lowest mark since 2014-15 when he appeared in just two games. Curry has one non-guaranteed year remaining on his current contract.

Hornets' Seth Curry: Out for remainder of season
Hornets head coach Steve Clifford said Wednesday that Curry (ankle) won't return this season, Roderick Boone of The Charlotte Observer reports. "Those two guys are not going to be able to come back," Clifford said of Curry and Cody Martin (ankle). "And it doesn't mean we can't play well. It doesn't mean we can't be proud of how we play. But that's just where we are at. Listen, it's not ideal."
Curry hasn't played since March 1 due to a right ankle sprain and will be shut down for good. After coming over from Dallas in a Feb. 8 trade, Curry appeared in eight games for Charlotte and averaged 9.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.1 three-pointers in 19.8 minutes while shooting 44.1 percent from the field and 32.1 percent from downtown. The 33-year-old shooting guard will enter the second season of a two-year, $8 million deal in 2024-25, though his salary doesn't become fully guaranteed until one day before the 2024 NBA Draft.

The Hornets announced Monday that Curry (ankle) will be evaluated in two weeks.
Curry and Cody Martin (ankle) are slated to miss at least the next two weeks, and with LaMelo Ball (ankle) also facing an uncertain timeline for a return, the Hornets will have to rely on Vasilije Micic, Brandon Miller, Bryce McGowens and Nick Smith to take on the brunt of the minutes out of the backcourt. Before missing Sunday's loss to Toronto, Curry had appeared in eight of nine games, averaging 9.0 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 19.8 minutes during that stretch.

Curry suffered a right ankle injury during Friday's game versus the 76ers and was unable to return. He finished with five points (2-8 FG, 1-3 3Pt), two rebounds, two assists and one steal in 23 minutes.
Cody Martin also suffered a left ankle injury and was unable to return. Curry drew a start Friday with Brandon Miller (back) out, but all three of these players will be re-evaluated Saturday before the Hornets take on the Raptors on Sunday.
