Lindor went 4-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI in Wednesday's win over the Giants. Lindor provided most of the offense for the Mets on Wednesday, launching a two-run homer in the top of the third to put New York on the board before adding a second two-run shot in the ninth. The shortstop finished with season highs in hits and RBI, raising his average to .206 in the process. Lindor has gotten off to a slow start to begin the campaign but has now registered multiple hits in five of his last 10 games.... See More ... See Less

Mets' Francisco Lindor: Tallies second homer
Lindor went 2-for-5 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored in Friday's win over the Dodgers. Lindor cracked a 390-foot two-run homer off Daniel Hudson in the seventh inning to put the Mets ahead for good -- his first extra-base hit of the year while hitting left-handed. After opening the season with a dreadful 1-for-31 stretch, the Mets shortstop has started to look better at the plate lately. Lindor is batting .255 (12-for-47) with two homers, 10 runs scored and three RBI over his last 11 games.... See More ... See Less -
Mets' Francisco Lindor: On base three times Monday
Lindor went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double and a run scored in Monday's win over the Pirates. It's been a tough start to the campaign for the shortstop, but Lindor is beginning to come around. He's delivered back-to-back two-hit games, and over the last eight contests he's batting .257 (9-for-35) with two doubles, a homer, four RBI, six runs and a sharp 4:1 BB:K.... See More ... See Less -
Mets' Francisco Lindor: Moves up to leadoff spot Friday
Lindor went 0-for-2 with a walk and an RBI in Friday's win over the Reds. After hitting second in the Mets' first six games of the season, Lindor bumped up to the leadoff spot Friday with Brandon Nimmo (hamstring) sidelined and brought home the team's first run with a sacrifice fly in the fifth inning. Lindor's had a slow start to the campaign, going 1-for-26 (.038) with a 4:6 BB:K, but it's far too early to panic over the 30-year-old shortstop as he looks to provide an encore to his 30-30 season from 2023.... Mets' Francisco Lindor: Swats first spring homer
Lindor went 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI in Saturday's Grapefruit League game against the Cardinals. The 30-year-old shortstop drove a 2-2 pitch from Steven Matz deep to left-center field in the first inning, giving Lindor his first long ball of the spring. He had a bone spur removed from his elbow in October but came into camp healthy, and he's gone 5-for-22 so far in Grapefruit League action with two doubles in addition to Saturday's homer. Lindor put together his first career 30-30 campaign in 2023 despite the bone spur, and expectations are high for the four-time All-Star this season.... See More ... See Less -
Mets' Francisco Lindor: Should be restriction-free for camp
Mets president of baseball operations David Stearns implied Monday that Lindor (elbow) is fully healthy ahead of spring training, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports. Stearns noted that lefty David Peterson (hip), infielder Ronny Mauricio (knee) and right-hander Kyle Crick (calf) are the only players who will be held out of drills to begin camp, which suggests that Lindor has a clean bill of health after he underwent surgery in October to remove a bone spur from his right elbow. The injury didn't cost Lindor any time in 2023, with the 30-year-old finishing his third season with the Mets with a .254/.336/.470 slash line to go with 31 home runs and 31 stolen bases over 160 games.... Mets' Francisco Lindor: Elbow surgery to remove bone spur
Lindor underwent surgery Tuesday to remove a bone spur from his right elbow, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports. Per Andy Martino of SNY.tv, Lindor first began feeling the effects of the injury during spring training and played through some discomfort all season. He is expected to be fully ready for the beginning of spring training. The veteran shortstop had his first-ever 30-30 season in 2023, hitting 31 home runs and stealing 31 bases while slashing .254/.336/.470.... See More ... See Less -
Mets' Francisco Lindor: Huge day in twin bill
Lindor went 4-for-7 with two walks, three home runs and six RBI across both games of Wednesday's doubleheader split with the Marlins. The shortstop took Braxton Garrett deep for a two-run shot in the matinee as the Mets romped to an 11-2 victory before accounting for his team's only offense in the nightcap with solo shots off Johnny Cueto in the second and fourth innings. The power display has given Lindor his first 30-homer season since 2019 as well as his first career 30-30 campaign, and he needs just four more RBI over New York's final four games to add his second straight 100-RBI season to his ledger as well.... Mets' Francisco Lindor: First 30-steal campaign
Lindor went 2-for-4 with a run scored and two stolen bases in Thursday's loss to the Phillies. The shortstop's bat has slowed down in September -- Lindor's slashing .257/.325/.392 through 83 plate appearances -- but he's remained busy on the basepaths with four steals in his last four games, giving him 30 in a season for the first time in his career. Lindor still has an outside shot at a 30-30 campaign, but he would need four homers in the Mets' final nine contests to pull it off.... See More ... See Less -
Mets' Francisco Lindor: Nabs steal No. 25
Lindor went 1-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base in Friday's 2-1 win over the Mariners. The shortstop scored the winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning, poking a leadoff single before stealing his 25th bag of the season and coming home on a Daniel Vogelbach hit. Lindor has now tied his career high in stolen bases, a mark he initially set in 2018 with Cleveland, and since the beginning of August he's slashing .303/.367/.440 with three homers, eight steals, 14 RBI and 21 runs in 28 games.... Mets' Francisco Lindor: Hit streak goes to 11
Lindor went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 3-1 loss to the Angels. He supplied the Mets' only offense by taking Patrick Sandoval deep in the third inning. Lindor also extended his hitting streak to 11 games in the process, a stretch in which he's slashing .386/.438/.614 with two homers, three steals, nine RBI and 11 runs. The shortstop is now creeping closer to his first 30-homer campaign since 2019 and first in a New York uniform -- he's six away, with 33 games left on the Mets' schedule.... See More ... See Less -
Mets' Francisco Lindor: Homers, extends hit streak to eight
Lindor went 2-for-5 with a home run, three RBI and an additional run scored in Monday's 10-4 victory over Atlanta. Lindor remained locked in at the plate Monday, extending his hitting streak to eight games with a fifth-inning single and later adding a three-run homer to extend New York's lead to 10-4 in the sixth. The 29-year-old switch hitter registered three batted balls with exit velocities over 100 mph, including a flyout to the center-field fence in the first inning. During Lindor's hitting streak, he's batting .400 (14-for-35) with one home run, eight RBI, nine runs scored and two stolen bases.... See More ... See Less -
Mets' Francisco Lindor: Nabs four hits, steals home
Lindor went 4-for-5 with one double, one RBI, three runs scored and one steal in Saturday's 13-2 victory over the Cardinals. Lindor extended his hit streak to six games Saturday, tallying four hits and scoring thrice. One of his three runs came in the first inning when he stole home on Miles Mikolas. Over his last 19 appearances, Lindor is batting 28-for-74 (.378) with 17 runs scored, 13 RBI and four stolen bases.... See More ... See Less -
Mets' Francisco Lindor: Hits 20-20 mark in win
Lindor went 2-for-3 with a double, two runs scored and a stolen base in Monday's 7-2 win over the Pirates. With his steal Monday, Lindor reached the 20-20 threshold for the third time in his career. The 29-year-old shortstop has heated up of late, going 20-for-55 (.364) with a 1.053 OPS over his last 15 games. Overall, Lindor is slashing .245/.333/.465 with 22 homers, 70 RBI and 74 runs scored across 502 plate appearances this season while going 20-for-22 on stolen base attempts.... See More ... See Less -
Mets' Francisco Lindor: Swipes 19th bag
Lindor went 0-for-4 with a stolen base in a 6-0 loss to Atlanta during the second game of Saturday's doubleheader. The shortstop missed both Friday's contest and the first game of Saturday's twin bill after complaining of soreness on his right side, but an MRI came back negative and Lindor seemed to have no issues running in his return to action, beating out a potential double-play grounder in the first inning and then promptly stealing second base. Lindor is now one stolen base short of the third 20-20 campaign of his career, and his first as a Met -- his last came in 2019 with Cleveland.... See More ... See Less -
Mets' Francisco Lindor: Back in lineup Saturday
Lindor (side) is starting at shortstop and batting second in Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader against Atlanta, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports. Lindor will make his return to the lineup after missing the opener of Saturday's twin bill with a side injury. The shortstop has gone 12-for-34 with a homer, two doubles, four RBI, seven runs and one stolen base over 10 games in August so far.... See More ... See Less -
Mets' Francisco Lindor: MRI results reassuring
Mets manager Buck Showalter said Saturday that Lindor's (side) MRI returned "pretty good news," Tim Britton of The Athletic reports. Lindor has already been left out of the Mets' lineup for Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader, but Showalter noted the shortstop could still be available for the nightcap. Lindor is slashing .270/.375/.427 with three homers and nine RBI since the All-Star break.... See More ... See Less -
Mets' Francisco Lindor: Absent from lineup
Lindor (side) will sit for the first half of Saturday's doubleheader against Atlanta. Lindor's absence is no surprise, as he's set to undergo an MRI on Saturday after being scratched Friday with soreness in his right side. The results of that MRI have yet to be released, so it's unclear whether a return for the nightcap is in play. Jonathan Arauz remains the starting shortstop in his absence.... See More ... See Less -
Mets' Francisco Lindor: Set for MRI on sore side
Lindor will undergo an MRI on Saturday after being scratched from Friday's lineup against Atlanta with right side soreness, Tim Healey of Newsday reports. Lindor had played every game so far this season until Friday's scratch. Whether he will require a stint on the injured list will be determined after the imaging is done, but any sort of side injury has the possibility of causing a multi-week absence. Jonathan Arauz is covering shortstop in Lindor's absence Friday.... See More ... See Less -
Mets' Francisco Lindor: Scratched Friday
Lindor was scratched from the Mets' lineup ahead of Friday's game against Atlanta, Tim Healey of Newsday reports. There is no word yet on why Lindor was taken out of New York's lineup, but the Mets should provide an explanation relatively soon. Lindor is slashing .375/.459/.531 since the beginning of August, and Friday will mark the first time he's missed a game all season. Jonathan Arauz will fill in at shortstop and bat ninth....
