The big injury story from Sunday is, obviously, Curtis Granderson's fractured right forearm. The injury will keep him on the shelf for the next 10 weeks, meaning his return is expected sometime in early May. Granderson told Chad Jennings of the Journal News he thought he was in the clear because there was "no numbness ... no tingling," but the X-rays said otherwise.

GM Brian Cashman told reporters Granderson's replacement will come from within the organization, though he has more than a month to explore external solutions before opening day.   • Athletics: Manager Bob Melvin confirmed OF Chris Young left Sunday's game with a cramp in his quad, nothing more. He was scheduled to have Monday off anyway. (CSNBayArea.com)

  • Nationals: RHP Christian Garcia will be shut down for roughly two weeks due to his sprained right wrist. He's been dealing with pain for a few days now. (Washington Post)
  • Phillies: OF Delmon Young is recovering slowly from right ankle surgery. GM Ruben Amaro Jr. confirmed he will visit a doctor in a week in hopes of being cleared to increase the intensity of his workouts. (Philadelphia Inquirer)
  • Tigers: OF Andy Dirks was scratched from Sunday's game with a mild intercostal strain. It's unclear how long he will be sidelined. (Detroit Free Press)
  • White Sox: IF Jeff Keppinger hasn't had any swelling after breaking his right fibula during the offseason. He served as the team's DH on Sunday and will continue his rehab (CSNChicago.com) ...
