Report: Tigers interested in Mets' Scott Hairston

The Tigers are interested in Mets outfielder Scott Hairston, tweeted FOXSports.com's Jon Paul Morosi.

Hairston's .814 OPS in 83 games is impressive, led by his .514 slugging percentage. His 39 RBI already are a career high. Also, he's dominating left-handed pitching, hitting .308/.341/.617 with nine home runs and 24 RBI in 120 at-bats.

Hairston's making $1.1 million this season, is a free agent at the end of the season, and would add depth to a contending team. Earlier on Friday, Morosi linked Hairston to the Tigers and Indians.

The Orioles, like a number of teams, want bullpen help, and are looking for a left-handed reliever.
The Giants are one of those teams looking to bolster their bullpen, and Kansas City's Jonathan Broxton is a "reliever of interest."
The White Sox already have added Brett Myers to their bullpen, but they may add another reliever.
If the Phillies decide to sell -- and there's no guarantee they will, as CBSSports.com's Jon Heyman reported -- and Hunter Pence is available, the Giants will be in the mix. They covet a right-handed-hitting outfield bat.
The Angels are "very much" in on Zack Greinke, and Greinke would be "amenable" to an extenstion in Southern California.
There's "heavy interest" in Twins reliever Glen Perkins, who has 51 strikeouts in 43.2 innings pitched. Minnesota's asking for a lot in return, though.
The A's are rumored to be active on the trade market, and they could dangle right-handed starting pitcher A.J. Griffin as a trading chip, according to a rival executive.
Griffin's 3-0 in six starts with a 2.25 ERA and very impressive 0.97 WHIP. He's pitched exactly six innings in each of his six starts, and has allowed more than two earned runs only once -- July 13, against the Twins, when he allowed three.
There's minor interest in some Mariners relievers: Josh Kinney, Shawn Kelley, and Steve Delabar, but Brandon League is the most likely candidate to be leaving Seattle's bullpen, as noted earlier Friday afternoon.
Finally, in a piece Morosi wrote with his FOXSports.com battery-mate Ken Rosenthal, the Rangers are up against a tight market in looking for outfield help, and Colorado's Carlos Gonzalez is atop the Rangers' 2013 wish list. They acknowledge that Gonzalez, signed through 2017, is unavailable, and that the Rangers have been scouting Arizona's Justin Upton and Cleveland's Shin-Soo Choo in the days and weeks leading up to the July 31 trade deadline.
