HUNTSVILLE, Texas (AP) Jeremiah Briscoe threw for 399 yards and four touchdowns as Sam Houston State rolled up 600 total yards to take a dominating 57-20 win over Incarnate Word in Southland Conference play on Saturday afternoon.

Davion Davis hauled in seven passes for 134 yards and a score and Yedidiah Louis caught nine passes for 100 yards and two touchdowns. Davis also returned kicks for 76 yards.

Tre Honshtean accounted for 13 points, kicking field goals of 42 and 39 yards and making seven extra points as SHSU (8-1, 6-1) extended its home win streak to 17 games.

The Bearkats, who have won five straight after falling to league-leader Central Arkansas 41-30, scored 23 unanswered points in the first quarter. They took a 36-14 lead into the break and coasted to the win.

Taylor Laird threw for 226 yards and two scores for Incarnate Word (1-8, 1-6).
