The 2022 NCAA Tournament national championship game is in the books, and now that we've seen the confetti fall in New Orleans for Kansas after its 72-69 win against North Carolina, the attention turns to an NCAA Tournament tradition: "One Shining Moment".

The Jayhawks stood on the stage in New Orleans hoisting the NCAA national championship trophy after one of the greatest comebacks in title game history, storming back from a 16-point first-half deficit to claim the program's fourth national championship. The win marked the biggest comeback in national championship game history, bringing even more thrills to the second crown of the Bill Self era in Lawrence, Kansas.

The familiar soundscape of "One Shining Moment" played background as the montage featured plenty of attention on Saint Peter's historic run to the Elite Eight, Coach K's retirement tour and, of course, Kansas' epic comeback over North Carolina in the final sequence.

Bill Self had led this program back to the Final Four multiple times since winning it all in his fifth season back in 2008, but after cutting nets on Monday night, he becomes the first coach in the program's storied history to win two NCAA Tournament titles. The Jayhawks caught some breaks coming out of a Midwest Region that saw the No. 2, No. 3, No. 5 and No. 6 seed teams eliminated before the Sweet 16, but it took a championship effort to get past Villanova and North Carolina in New Orleans.

The fact a No. 1 seed emerged as the national champion is not going to be a surprise down the line, but you'd have to relive the "One Shining Moment" montage and more to be able to understand the ups and downs of this historic edition of the tournament.
