What to Know

We've got another exciting Ohio Valley matchup on schedule as the SIUE Cougars and the Tennessee State Tigers are set to tip at 4:30 p.m. ET on February 24th at Gentry Center. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

SIUE had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They escaped with a win against the Golden Eagles by the margin of a single free throw, 78-77.

Meanwhile, Tennessee State's game on Thursday was all tied up 35-35 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 78-73.

The Cougars' win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 16-12. As for the Tigers, their win bumped their record up to an identical 16-12.

SIUE will be fighting an uphill battle on Saturday as the experts have pegged them as the 1.5-point underdog.
