KINGSTON, R.I. (AP) Jaden House scored 29 points as Rhode Island beat UMass 89-77 on Saturday.

House added six rebounds for the Rams (9-7, 3-0 Atlantic 10 Conference). David Green scored 24 points and added five rebounds. Cam Estevez had 16 points and shot 6 for 10, including 4 for 5 from beyond the arc.

The Minutemen (11-5, 2-2) were led by Josh Cohen, who posted 23 points and 11 rebounds. UMass also got 14 points and four assists from Jaylen Curry. In addition, Rahsool Diggins finished with 12 points.

Rhode Island took the lead with 18:42 left in the first half and did not relinquish it. House led his team in scoring with 16 points in the first half to help put them up 48-39 at the break. Rhode Island pulled away with a 7-0 run in the second half to extend a nine-point lead to 16 points. They outscored UMass by three points in the final half, as Green led the way with a team-high 14 second-half points.
