NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP) Jimel Lane had a career-high 20 points off the bench, Chase Forte scored 19 and Northwestern State rolled to a 97-71 victory over Incarnate Word on Saturday.

Lane made 7 of 11 shots with three 3-pointers for the Demons (3-13, 1-2 Southland Conference), adding six rebounds. Forte had seven rebounds and seven assists. Duane Posey had 16 points and five boards. Braelon Bush made all eight of his free throws and scored 14. Freshman reserve Chris Mubiru hit three 3-pointers and scored 11.

Sky Wicks had 17 points, five rebounds and four steals to pace the Cardinals (5-11, 0-3). Alex Anderson and freshman Josh Akpovwa came off the bench to score 15 and 14, respectively.
