Swayman was the first goalie off the ice Wednesday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports, indicating he'll tend the twine on the road for Game 3 against the Maple Leafs. Swayman was fantastic in Game 1, stopping 35 of 36 shots in a victory over Toronto. Despite his strong performance, the Bruins stuck to their goalie rotation, going with Linus Ullmark for Game 2. If the 25-year-old Swayman puts together another winning effort, he could force coach Jim Montgomery to reconsider his rotational approach.... See More ... See Less

Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Stellar in win
Swayman stopped 35 of 36 shots in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Maple Leafs in Game 1. Swayman ended the season with a pair of losses, but he was good overall with a 25-10-8 record, a 2.53 GAA and a .916 save percentage. He was dialed in Saturday, stopping everything but a David Kampf tally in the third period. After the game, head coach Jim Montgomery said it would be "hard to go away from" Swayman for Game 2 on Monday, Fluto Shinzawa of The Athletic reports. Montgomery almost always alternated starts between Swayman and Linus Ullmark in the regular season, but he may have hinted at going with the hot hand in the playoffs, at least in the first round.... Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Guarding goal in Game 1
Swayman will protect the home net in Game 1 against Toronto on Saturday, according to Fluto Shinzawa of The Athletic. Swayman posted a 25-10-8 record with a 2.53 GAA and a .916 save percentage in 44 appearances during the regular season. He also stopped 93 of 97 shots en route to going 3-0-0 versus the Maple Leafs. Toronto registered 3.63 goals per contest to finish second overall in 2023-24.... See More ... See Less -
Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Falls to Capitals
Swayman stopped 23 of 24 shots in Monday's 2-0 loss to Washington. Swayman was excellent Monday, holding the Caps to a John Carlson goal in the first period. However, the Bruins could generate only 16 shots on offense in an eventual 2-0 shutout loss. The 25-year-old netminder has dropped consecutive starts after winning three of his prior four outings. With Linus Ullmark likely to start in Boston's season finale Tuesday, Swayman is poised to wrap up the regular season at 25-10-8 with a .916 save percentage and a 2.53 GAA.... See More ... See Less -
Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Comes up short against Carolina
Swayman stopped 22 shots in Tuesday's 4-1 loss to the Hurricanes. The 25-year-old netminder held Carolina off the board in the first period, but things began to unravel for Boston after Andrei Svechnikov scored a Michigan goal midway through the second frame. Swayman is stumbling to the finish line on the regular season -- he's given up at least three goals in five of his last seven starts, going 4-3-0 with a 3.12 GAA and .874 save percentage over that stretch.... Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Between pipes Tuesday
Swayman will guard the cage at home versus Carolina on Tuesday. Swayman is riding a three-game winning streak during which he posted a 1.95 GAA and a .914 save percentage. The 25-year-old backstop should continue to split the starts with Linus Ullmark the rest of the way, though it seems unlikely the divided workload will continue into the postseason. As such, Swayman will no doubt be hoping to secure his place as the Game 1 starter.... See More ... See Less -
Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Notches win No. 25
Swayman made 28 saves in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Hurricanes. The 25-year-old netminder set a new career high with his 25th win of the season. Swayman has gone 6-2-0 in eight starts since the beginning of March with a 2.49 GAA, but that's largely been thanks to the Bruins' stingy defense as he has a .905 save percentage over that stretch. With Boston still in the mix to claim the top seed in the Eastern Conference, expect Swayman and Linus Ullmark to remain in their timeshare over the team's final handful of games.... See More ... Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Expected to start Thursday
Swayman is set to start on the road against Carolina on Thursday. Swayman stopped 18 of 20 shots en route to a 3-2 shootout win over the Capitals in his last start Saturday. He has a 24-8-8 record, 2.56 GAA and .916 save percentage in 41 outings in 2023-24. Carolina, which has won 13 of its last 17 games, figures to be a challenging opponent.... See More ... See Less -
Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: In goal Saturday
Swayman is expected to protect the visiting net in Washington on Saturday, per Tom Gulitti of NHL.com. The Bruins continue to rotate starts between Swayman and Linus Ullmark. The 25-year-old Swayman is 23-8-8 with a 2.58 GAA and a .916 save percentage. He will face a Capitals team averaging 2.71 goals per game this season, which ranks 28th in the league.... See More ... Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Hangs on for win Tuesday
Swayman made 18 saves in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Panthers. The Bruins rallied three times from one-goal deficits before Pavel Zacha gave the visitors their only lead of the game with less than three minutes to go in the third period. Swayman has allowed at least three goals in four straight starts and has a 2.85 GAA and .895 save percentage through six outings in March, but on the season he's up to 23 wins -- one short of the career high he set in 2022-23.... Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Starting in Florida
Swayman will protect the road goal against the Panthers on Tuesday, Fluto Shinzawa of The Athletic reports. Swayman wasn't great in his last appearance Thursday against the Rangers, surrendering three goals on just 29 shots en route to a 5-2 defeat. He'll attempt to pick up his 23rd victory of the season in a road matchup with a slumping Florida team that's lost four of its last five games.... See More ... See Less -
Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Tough loss to Blueshirts
Swayman stopped 26 of 29 shots in Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Rangers, with New York's final two goals coming into an empty net. Boston took a 1-0 lead into the second period, but Swayman fell victim to some incredible puck luck for Artemi Panarin, whose second goal deflected in off a sliding Jake DeBrusk. Swayman's had a bumpy ride since the All-Star break -- over his last 12 starts the 25-year-old goalie sports a 6-5-1 record with a 3.16 GAA and .902 save percentage.... See More ... See Less -
Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Gets win despite allowing five
Swayman made 24 saves in a 6-5 win over the Flyers on Saturday. The game was knotted 2-2 headed into the third, but the Bruins got three quick goals in under three minutes early in the frame and held the lead for the rest of the game. Swayman still struggled in the final period, though, surrendering three goals on 11 shots. All the same, he's 6-1-1 in his last eight starts and 22-7-8 overall with a 2.56 GAA and a .917 save percentage. Swayman is strengthening his case as one of the league's best young netminders.... Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Struggles in loss
Swayman allowed four goals on 21 shots in a 5-1 loss to the Blues on Monday. It was a tough night for Swayman, who allowed a pair of goals in each of the first two periods en route to his first regulation loss since Feb. 15. The 25-year-old netminder had been rolling coming into Monday's outing, going 5-0-1 with a .924 save percentage in his prior six starts. He's now 21-7-8 with a .920 save percentage and 2.49 GAA on the season. The Bruins will look to get back in the win column Thursday on the road in Montreal.... See More ... See Less -
Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Guarding crease Monday
Swayman will get the starting nod at home against the Blues on Monday, Conor Ryan of The Boston Globe reports. Swayman has won three straight games while allowing just six goals during that span. However, since the start of February, he hasn't been as consistent as usual; over those nine outings, Swayman went 5-3-1 with a 2.87 GAA. On the year, the 25-year-old is 21-6-8 with a strong 2.44 GAA and .922 save percentage.... See More ... See Less -
Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Wants fight, gets win instead
Swayman made 28 saves in a 4-1 win over Toronto on Thursday. The only goal that made it past him came off the stick of Mitchell Marner on a second-period power play. Swayman has beaten the Leafs twice this week, allowing just one goal in each of the two wins. And he has delivered a 21-6-8 record in 35 starts this season, recording a 2.45 GAA and .922 save percentage. In an interesting turn, Swayman tried to goad Toronto netminder Joseph Woll into a fight late in the game when the rest of the players got into a scrum in the Leafs' end of the ice. Swayman skated to center ice and challenged Woll, who declined. This isn't new to Swayman, who skated out and challenged Montreal's Sam Montembault to a tilt in November. Swayman's time for fisticuffs could come eventually and Boston fans would love it, but fantasy managers would prefer a safer approach to his game. No need to lose him to a stupid fighting injury.... Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Facing Maple Leafs
Swayman was the first goaltender off the ice at morning skate and will get the home start versus Toronto on Thursday, according to Mark Masters of TSN. Swayman faced the Maple Leafs in Toronto on Monday and was outstanding, stopping 32 shots in a 4-1 win. Swayman is 4-0-1 in his last five appearances and is 20-6-8 with a 2.49 GAA and a .921 save percentage on the season. Toronto has scored 227 goals in 62 games, third in the NHL.... See More ... Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: First off Monday
Swayman was the first goalie off the ice at the morning skate, Mark Masters of TSN reports, indicating he will guard the road net Monday against Toronto. Swayman is coming off a 32-save performance in Thursday's 5-4 win over Vegas. He has a 19-6-8 record this season with three shutouts, a 2.53 GAA and a .919 save percentage across 34 appearances. The Maple Leafs rank first in the league with 3.65 goals per contest this campaign.... See More ... See Less -
Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Hangs on for win Thursday
Swayman stopped 32 shots in Thursday's 5-4 win over the Golden Knights. Boston handed Swayman a 3-0 lead in the first period but the netminder let it slip away by the third, only for a Mason Lohrei power-play tally to bail him out. The 25-year-old Swayman is 3-0-1 over his last four starts, but he owes that success mainly to the Bruins' offense as he has a 3.61 GAA and .908 save percentage during that stretch.... See More ... Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Stumbles late vs. Vancouver
Swayman stopped 36 of 39 shots in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Canucks. Swayman held Vancouver scoreless until Brock Boeser's tally 12:49 into the third period. That was followed by a Filip Hronek marker with 1:11 left in the frame to even the score at 2-2. The 25-year-old netminder would wind up with the loss when Boeser added a second goal on a power play in overtime. Swayman had won back-to-back starts coming into Saturday, though the Bruins' defense hasn't been doing him any favors -- he's now faced 127 shots over his last three outings. Swayman falls to 18-6-8 with a .920 save percentage and a 2.49 GAA on the season.... See More ... See Less
