  • Lightning's Yanni Gourde: Grabs six-year deal

Gourde inked a six-year, $14 million contract with Tampa Bay on Monday. Gourde's cap hit under his new deal comes in at $2.33 million AAV, less than half of his previous six-year contract that came in at $5.17 million AAV. While he may not be the 20-goal producer he was in his first stint with the Lightning, Gourde still reached the 30-point threshold for the eighth straight year in 2024-25, which he split between Seattle and Tampa Bay. Looking ahead to 2025-26, Gourde will likely primarily fill a middle-six role and could see some power-play ice time, though the bulk of his value comes from his defensive work.

  • Lightning's Yanni Gourde: Three assists in last two games

Gourde had two assists in a 5-1 win over Florida on Tuesday. Gourde has three assists in his last two games. He's really impressed in Tampa Bay with 14 points, including 13 assists, in just 20 outings. The Bolts brought Gourde in for his edge and grit, so this scoring is a bonus. He'll be a smart playoff pick if you believe the Bolts will go far.

  • Lightning's Yanni Gourde: Moves up to top line Sunday

Gourde recorded an assist, three shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Sunday's 7-4 win over the Sabres. Gourde helped out on the first of Nikita Kucherov's two tallies in the contest. The 33-year-old Gourde was moved up to the top line, while Conor Geekie entered the lineup on the third line to fill in for Oliver Bjorkstrand (lower body). Gourde has primarily featured as a third-line center for the Lightning and the Kraken this year, but he's defensively responsible and can slot in anywhere necessary. He's produced 12 points over 19 outings since returning to the Lightning and has a total of 29 points, 70 shots on net, 106 hits, 52 PIM and a minus-1 rating over 55 appearances this season.

  • Lightning's Yanni Gourde: Tallies in Monday's win

Gourde scored a goal on two shots in Monday's 5-1 win over the Rangers. Gourde scored for the first time since Dec. 30 when he was still with the Kraken. The 33-year-old has fit in well on the Lightning's third line since the trade deadline, racking up 11 points in 16 outings. Overall, he's produced 28 points, 63 shots on net, 97 hits, 52 PIM and an even plus-minus rating over 52 appearances. While his offense was down in general last year, a lengthy absence following a sports hernia surgery explains much of the reduced scoring for Gourde in 2024-25.

The 33-year-old is at 27 points, 61 shots on net, 97 hits, 52 PIM and a minus-1 rating through 51 appearances in 2024-25. Gourde will likely continue to center the Lightning's third line while frequently featuring in defensive situations.

  • Lightning's Yanni Gourde: Two assists in Thursday's win

Gourde logged two assists, three hits, two blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 8-0 win over Utah. Gourde helped out on goals by linemates Oliver Bjorkstrand and Gage Goncalves. It's been all playmaking for Gourde in his second stint with the Lightning -- he has eight assists, 30 hits, 15 shots on net and 11 PIM over 11 contests since he was traded away from the Kraken. For the season, the 33-year-old forward has 25 points, 55 shots on net, 89 hits, 47 PIM and a minus-3 rating over 47 appearances.

  • Lightning's Yanni Gourde: Four assists in last five games

Gourde put up two assists in a 6-2 win over the Bruins on Saturday. Gourde is making his mark with the Bolts. Since being acquired from Seattle on March 5, he has four assists in five games, including three in his last two games. He's also fired nine shots and leveled 18 hits while centering the third line. This is exactly what the Bolts had hoped they'd get from Gourde when they acquired him, and it's a profile that will go a long way in the postseason. Until then, his fantasy value is limited, even in leagues that count hits. Center is usually too deep to get them in that spot.

  • Lightning's Yanni Gourde: Returning to Bolts

Gourde was traded to the Lightning from the Kraken, along with Oliver Bjorkstrand and a 2026 fifth-round pick, in exchange for Michael Eyssimont, first-round picks in 2026 and 2027 and a 2025 second-round pick Wednesday, Pierre LeBrun of TSN reports. Gourde is back with the Lightning after spending the past four seasons in Seattle. The 33-year-old winger has played in just 36 games this year after missing two months following surgery to repair a sports hernia. In his first game back from injury, Gourde picked up an assist, but his return to the Kraken lineup was short lived.

  • Kraken's Yanni Gourde: Game-time call against Minnesota

Gourde (abdomen) is a game-time decision for Tuesday's home matchup against the Wild, Mike Benton of the Kraken Audio Network reports. Gourde last suited up against Vancouver on Jan. 2. In order to play Tuesday, the Quebec native would need to be activated from long-term injured reserve. As soon as he's at full strength, Gourde would more than likely replace Ben Meyers in the lineup. Before being placed on the shelf, Gourde produced six goals and 10 helpers over 35 appearances.

  • Kraken's Yanni Gourde: Practices in non-contact sweater

Gourde (abdomen) was a full participant in Friday's practice session but won't be available for Saturday's game against the Canucks, Sound of Hockey reports. Gourde underwent sports hernia surgery at the end of January and remains on long-term injured reserve, but he's making progress in his recovery. It's not yet clear when he'll be able to return to game action, but it seems as though he could be ready to suit up sometime in the first half of March.

  • Kraken's Yanni Gourde: Moved to LTIR

Gourde (abdomen) was placed on long-term injured reserve Friday, retroactive to Jan. 4. Gourde's move to LTIR is unlikely to impact his recovery timeline. He's expected to be out for another couple of weeks at a minimum as he recovers from sports hernia surgery. This move involving Gourde may indicate Jordan Eberle (pelvis) is close to a return, as the Kraken will likely need the extra cap space to activate him.

  • Kraken's Yanni Gourde: Undergoes surgery

Gourde underwent sports hernia surgery Friday and is expected to miss an additional 5-7 weeks. Gourde has battled a lower-body injury off and on for part of the season, and it's possible this surgery is to address that issue. It's unlikely he'll be available prior to early March, which could make it difficult if the Kraken are looking to trade him, as the deadline is March 7. He can still be dealt if the receiving team is okay with having him at the tail end of his recovery. If he stays with the Kraken, he'll likely resume a bottom-six role once he's ready to play again.

  • Kraken's Yanni Gourde: No timeline for return

Gourde (lower body) doesn't have a timeline for his return to the lineup, Mike Benton of the Kraken Audio Network reports Saturday. Gourde will miss his eighth straight game versus the Kings on Saturday. He is progressing but remains on injured reserve. Gourde has generated six goals, 16 points, 38 shots on net, 26 blocked shots and 58 hits through 35 appearances this season. Once healthy, Gourde will be in the mix for a bottom-six role in the lineup.

  • Kraken's Yanni Gourde: Lands on IR

Gourde (lower body) was placed on injured reserve Sunday, per the NHL media site. Gourde was unavailable for Saturday's game against the Oilers due to a lower-body injury, and his placement on IR signals that he's facing a multi-game absence. It's not yet clear when he'll be able to return to action, but Ben Meyers will likely continue to see time in the lineup while Gourde is unavailable.

  • Kraken's Yanni Gourde: Won't play Saturday

Gourde (lower body) will not be in the lineup for Saturday's game versus the Oilers. Gourde took a maintenance day Friday but participated in Saturday's morning skate. He'll still need to sit out again, and it's a bit of a concern considering he was bothered by a lower-body injury in December as well. Ben Meyers will play in Gourde's usual fourth-line spot.

He has contributed five goals, 14 points, 41 hits and 33 shots on net through 29 appearances this season. • Kraken's Yanni Gourde: Practices Monday

Gourde (lower body) took part in Monday's practice and will be reevaluated prior to puck drop against the Senators on Tuesday, Alison Lukan of the Kraken Hockey Network reports. Gourde seems to be trending in the right direction after having missed the Kraken's previous two contests due to his lower-body issue. Prior to getting hurt, the 33-year-old winger had notched five goals and five assists in his previous 12 outings. Gourde figures to retake his spot in the top six once given the all-clear.

Gourde (lower body) will miss Thursday's home game versus Boston, Tim Booth of the Seattle Times reports. Gourde is day-to-day according to coach Dan Bylsma and the Kraken want to monitor the injury. Gourde has five goals and nine assists in 29 games but he has been hot of late with all five goals and five helpers in his last 12 appearances. Look for Daniel Sprong to return to the lineup after being a healthy scratch over the last seven games.
