Vikings' Jaren Hall: Serving as No. 3 QB on Monday
Hall (coach's decision) is inactive for Monday's Week 12 game against Chicago, though he will serve as Minnesota's emergency third quarterback.
Hall missed the Vikings' past two games while in the league's five-step concussion protocol. Though he was cleared to play Monday against the Bears, Joshua Dobbs has ascended to the role of the team's lead signal-caller and will be backed up by Nick Mullens. As such, Hall will be able to play in the contest only if both Dobbs and Mullens get injured.

Hall (concussion) does not carry an injury designation ahead of Monday's game against the Bears.
Hall sustained a concussion in his first career start against the Falcons in Week 9. He was able to log full practice sessions ahead of Week 12 and seems to have passed the NFL's five-step concussion protocol given that he does not carry an injury designation. While Joshua Dobbs has established himself as the starting quarterback for the Vikings after being traded from the Cardinals, there is less certainty around whether Hall will be the backup or if Minnesota opts to roll with Nick Mullens as the QB2.

Hall (concussion) was listed as a full participant at practice Thursday, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports.
It's unclear if Hall has cleared the NFL's five-step concussion protocol, but his ability to log a full practice Thursday suggests that he's making progress toward a return. The rookie quarterback suffered a head injury against the Falcons in Week 9 and has sat out both of Minnesota's contests since then. It remains to be seen if Hall will be available this Monday against Chicago, and if he is, there's also uncertainty about whether he or Nick Mullens would back up starter Joshua Dobbs.

Vikings' Jaren Hall: Won't play Sunday
Hall (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game in Denver.
Despite getting in a full practice Thursday, Hall has yet to make it through all five phases of the concussion protocol after suffering a head injury early during a Week 9 win in Atlanta. The Vikings will continue to roll with Joshua Dobbs at quarterback with Kirk Cousins (Achilles) out for the season, but Dobbs' direct backup this Sunday figures to be Nick Mullens (back), who is expected to be activated from IR on Saturday, as coach Kevin O'Connell told Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com.
