Clemons missed the team's Week 6 win over the Eagles while dealing with an ankle injury, but he appears ready to go ahead of Sunday's matchup with the Giants. The 26-year-old will return to his reserve role at interior defensive line.

Clemons, who sat out last Sunday against Buffalo with a knee issue, is now in line to limit his absence to just one game following his ability to partake in Thursday's session without limitations. With fellow defensive end John Franklin-Myers currently listed as questionable for this weekend's matchup against the Lions due to an illness, the rookie's workload could potentially expand beyond his usual rotational role.

Jets' Micheal Clemons: Big Apple bound
The Jets selected Clemons in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, 117th overall.
Clemons will be 25 years old by the time Week 1 kicks off, as he spent two years at community college before a five-year stint with Texas A&M. He was productive over his final two seasons with 46 tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss and 11 sacks. As a former linebacker and running back, Clemons is still developing his edge skills and and may take time to fill into an NFL role.
