Commanders' Khaleke Hudson: Staying in Washington
The Commanders signed Hudson to a one-year deal Sunday, Sam Fortier of The Washington Post reports.
Hudson will stick with the Commanders for his fourth season after being selected by the team in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. The 6-foot linebacker was let go by the team ahead of the 2022 campaign, though he was ultimately re-signed after spending the first six weeks of the season on Washington's practice squad. Hudson still never worked his way above a core special-teamer role in 2022, as he has played almost exclusively in this phase during his time with the Commanders. Hudson has accumulated 34 tackles across 41 regular-season appearances in his career.

Commanders' Khaleke Hudson: Practicing once again
Hudson spent time working with Washington's first-team defense during minicamp earlier this June, Ben Standig of The Athletic reports.
Hudson missed the Commanders' final five games of 2021 while dealing with an ankle injury. Though the linebacker saw some first-team reps during minicamp, he's still expected to serve in a depth role after playing just 22 defensive snaps last season.

Football Team's Khaleke Hudson: Activated from COVID-19 list
Hudson (ankle) was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Saturday,
Hudson was subsequently returned to injured reserve after being activated from the COVID-19 list, so he will still be unable to practice or play until Week 17 at the earliest. This still leaves Washington extremely thin at outside linebacker heading into Week 15's matchup against the Eagles, which has been rescheduled to Tuesday.

Football Team's Khaleke Hudson: Lands on IR
Washington placed Hudson (ankle) on injured reserve Tuesday.
Hudson suffered a sprained ankle during Sunday's win over the Raiders and will miss at least three weeks after being placed on IR. Washington is shorthanded at outside linebacker, with Jon Bostic (pectoral) and Jared Norris (shoulder) already on IR, so Milo Eifler may see increased snaps as the primary backup to Cole Holcomb and David Mayo.

Football Team's Khaleke Hudson: Steps up Sunday
Hudson posted eight tackles (four solo) in Sunday's 20-15 loss to the Seahawks.
Hudson played just one snap on defense over the first 13 games of the season. However, injuries piled up in Washington's linebacker corps Sunday, and Hudson was thrust into action. He handled 28 snaps on defense (49 percent) and finished tied for the team lead in tackles. The rookie fifth-round pick could have an opportunity to build on that success in Week 16 against the Panthers, pending the injury statuses of Kevin Pierre-Louis (ankle), Shaun Dion Hamilton (elbow) and Cole Holcomb (concussion).

Redskins' Khaleke Hudson: Heading to nation's Capital
The Redskins selected Hudson in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft, 162nd overall.
Hudson had impressive production early in his career at Michigan but his pro projection is murky. He's 5-foot-11 and 224 pounds with short arms (29.38 inches) and a 72.63-inch wingspan. Hudson made up for that with athleticism, including a 4.56 in the 40-yard dash. His best season came in 2017, when he had 18.5 tackles for loss and 8.0 sacks. Hudson is a tweener between safety and outside linebacker, so Washington will have to get creative with his usage. Ron Rivera has experience in making the most out of tweeners, though, so this could work.
