Bersin caught three of four targets for 45 yards in Sunday's 22-19 win over the Buccaneers.
Bersin led the Panthers in receiving yards, with his long catch of 23 yards supporting his season-best performance. Although top wideout Devin Funchess hasn't been his usual self while dealing with a shoulder injury the past two weeks, Bersin would be a tough person to rely on next Sunday versus the Falcons, as he entered Week 16 with just three grabs for 47 yards all season.

Bersin (toe) was a full participant in Thursday's practice, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Charlotte Observer reports.
The injury kept Bersin off the practice field Wednesday, but it was evidently never a major concern for the wideout. Bersin has recorded a reception in each of the Panthers' last two games, but he's viewed mostly as a special teamer and isn't expected to see his role on offense expand much down the stretch.

Bersin was a non-participant at the Panthers' practice Wednesday due to a toe injury, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Bersin played 17 of 64 offensive snaps in Sunday's win over the Vikings, but apparently got hurt at some point. The severity of Bersin's injury remains somewhat unknown, so the 27-year-old's availability for the Week 15 matchup with the Packers likely will be dictated by what he's able to do in practice the next two days.

Bersin's reception was his first of this season, but after rookie Curtis Samuel (ankle) was ruled out Tuesday for the remainder of the campaign, the 27-year-old should be poised for more work going forward. Besides Devin Funchess and Russell Shepard, Bersin and Kaelin Clay are Carolina's only other healthy wideouts, and although Clay is more explosive, Bersin's four years of experience within the Panthers offense should serve him well.

Panthers' Brenton Bersin: Returns to Carolina
Bersin signed a contract with the Panthers on Wednesday, Joe Person of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Bersin has now been cut and re-signed by Carolina five times in the past six years. As has been the case in the past, he'll provide added depth at receiver for the Panthers, who dealt top wideout Kelvin Benjamin to the Bills on Tuesday. Look for Bersin to see most of his snaps on special teams for as long as he remains with the club.

Bersin (shoulder) agreed to an injury settlement with the Panthers on Monday, Joe Person of the Charlotte Observer reports.
Bersin landed on injured reserve in mid-August after separating his shoulder in the Panthers' preseason matchup with the Titans. Reaching an injury settlement removes him from IR and allows him to immediately sign with any team outside of Carolina.

Coach Ron Rivera said Monday that Bersin (shoulder) is expected to miss the Panthers' third preseason contest Thursday against the Jaguars, Joe Person of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Bersin went down with the shoulder injury in Saturday's preseason loss to the Titans. He was initially deemed day-to-day, but the Panthers will exercise caution and hope to have him back for the preseason finale. Bersin is competing for a role as the Panthers' fourth or fifth wide receiver.

Panthers' Brenton Bersin: Undergoes ankle surgery
Bersin will miss the rest of the offseason program after undergoing surgery on his left ankle, Max Henson of the Panthers' official site reports. "He had a spur removed from his ankle," head trainer Ryan Vermillion said. "We felt like this was the best time to do it. He'll miss minicamp, but he'll be fine and ready to go for training camp."
As OTAs proceeded, it was apparent that Bersin was dealing with discomfort in his left ankle, and the procedure was ordered up to make sure he'd be ready by the time training camp kicks off. A wide receiver in name, he fits in the majority of his snaps on special teams, where 113 of his 176 overall snaps were earned in 2016. If he's able to fend off the likes of Damiere Byrd and Keyarris Garrett during the preseason, Bersin would be in line for a similar role in the fall.
