That clears the way for Todman to dress for Sunday's game against the 49ers. With Alfred Blue (concussion) looking unlikely to play, Todman would slot in third on the depth chart at running back, but it's still likely that he would play exclusively on special teams, as has been the case throughout the season.

Texans' Jordan Todman: Limited by hand injury
Todman was a limited participant at practice Wednesday due to a hand injury.
The Texans have been hit hard by injuries in the backfield, as three players that started the season on the 53-man roster are currently injured. With Tyler Ervin (knee) and D'Onta Foreman (Achilles) on injured reserve and Alfred Blue in the NFL's concussion protocol, only Todman and Andre Ellington might be on hand to back up starter Lamar Miller in Sunday's game against the 49ers. Todman has been a steady special-teams contributor all season, but he could be in line for his first offensive snaps of 2017 in Week 14.

Todman sat out the Texans' Week 6 victory over the Browns but appears fully healthy following the team's bye week. The 27-year-old has not played an offensive snap this season and is not currently on the fantasy radar.

Jets' Jordan Todman: Will sign with Jets
Todman will sign a contract with the Jets, Adam Caplan of NFL.com reports.
Todman spent the 2016 season in Indianapolis, taking over as the Colts' primary kick returner after Quan Bray landed on injured reserve. Though he'll offer a depth option at running back, Todman will probably need to shine on special teams during training camp in order to make the Jets' 53-man roster. With projected return man Jalin Marshall (suspension) set to miss the first four games of the regular season, Todman should have a decent opportunity to prove himself in preseason contests.
