  • Davon House: Closes curtains on career

House announced Tuesday that he has elected to retire from the NFL.

A 2011 fourth-round pick, House spent the first six seasons of his career in Green Bay before moving on to the Jaguars for two years. After sitting out the entire 2019 season, the New Mexico State product has decided to call it quits, formally retiring as a member of the Packers. He'll finish his playing days with seven interceptions and two forced fumbles to his name.

  • Packers' Davon House: Surgery required

House (shoulder) will undergo surgery Tuesday, Rob Demovsky of reports.

House was originally placed on injured reserve by the Packers on Sept. 25, and with this news, is most likely done for the season. The eight-year pro suited up in three games for the Packers this season, recording just two tackles (one solo).

  • Packers' Davon House: Placed on IR

The Packers placed House (shoulder) on injured reserve Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Outside of a two-year stint in Jacksonville, House has called Green Bay home for the majority of his career. After starting 12 games in his return to Title Town, he entered his eighth year as a pro in a depth corner role. Although he has been nursing a sore shoulder since the season kicked off, he saw his workload increase after Kevin King (groin) went down in Week 2. It appears he suffered a serious enough of a setback in last week's loss to the Redskins to keep him sidelined the rest of the season.

  • Packers' Davon House: Gearing up Sunday

House (biceps) is active for Sunday's game versus the Redskins, VP of Communications Jason Wahlers reports.

House has been surpassed by rookie Josh Jackson on the depth chart, so he'll be used in a limited role in Week 3. The 29-year-old played 24 defensive snaps last week, and that's a reasonable projection with Kevin King (groin) out.

  • Packers' Davon House: Wears questionable tag

House (biceps) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Redskins, Rob Demovsky of reports.

House was a limited participant in practice all week. He has struggled in coverage during the first two games, but if he's healthy, he could be counted on more with Kevin King (groin) already deemed out.

  • Packers' Davon House: Avoids injury report

House (hamstring) was not listed on the team's injury report Wednesday, Rob Demovsky of reports.

House's absence from the injury report hints we could see him during Week 1. The veteran corner is still listed behind Kevin King and Tramon Williams on the depth chart, but there's a chance Green Bay will squeeze him onto the field in certain packages. House will have to fend off rookies Jaire Alexander and Josh Jackson as the season progresses.

  • Packers' Davon House: Limited at practice

House watched Monday's practice from the sideline with a hamstring injury after participating in the early portion of the session, Rob Demovsky of reports.

This is the first report of House nursing a hamstring injury, but the Packers don't appear too concerned about it and are likely just exercising caution with the veteran defensive back. House is expected to serve as a backup cornerback this season behind Tramon Williams and Kevin King.

  • Packers' Davon House: Returns to Green Bay

The Packers signed House to a one-year contract Thursday, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

In his return to Green Bay last season, House tended to a quad injury early and a shoulder concern late, resulting in four DNPs. When healthy, though, he accrued 31 tackles, one interception and one sack during a six-game stretch midseason. After the offseason addition of Tramon Williams, the Packers likely will roll with a starting CB duo of Williams and 2017 second-round pick Kevin King. No matter, House should be the first player called upon in the event of an injury or when a third cornerback is needed.

  • Packers' Davon House: Limited to 12 games in 2017

House totaled 44 tackles (37 solo), a sack and an interception over 12 games with the Packers in 2017.

House returned to Green Bay after spending two seasons in Jacksonville, and although he played well at certain points, his battles with injuries limited his effectiveness. He previously signed a one-year deal with the Packers, so it remains to be seen if he will spend another year with the team in 2018.

  • Packers' Davon House: Exits with shoulder injury

House exited Sunday's 35-11 loss to the Lions with a shoulder injury.

  • Packers' Davon House: Suiting up Saturday

House (shoulder) is active for Saturday's game against the Vikings.

House only had to sit out one game with this ailment, although it was an important one in Carolina, where the Packers were knocked off from playoff contention. He'll be back to his starting ways Saturday and should have plenty of action against a strong Vikings pass attack.

  • Packers' Davon House: Questionable Saturday vs. Vikings

House (shoulder) is questionable for Saturday's tilt with the Vikings, Rob Demovsky of reports.

House sat out of last week's contest, but he could return to the field Saturday after being limited in practice all week. Should he remain sidelined, Josh Hawkins will likely get the spot start across from Damarious Randall.

  • Packers' Davon House: Won't play in Week 15

House (shoulder) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Panthers, Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette reports.

House has a chance to play again this season, but it's not surprising that he'll sit out this week after suffering a fracture in his back during the Week 14 win over the Browns that resulted in him being carted off the field. With House out, Damarious Randall will be the Packers' top cornerback in Week 15, with Josh Hawkins likely starting on the opposite side of the field.

  • Packers' Davon House: Suffers fracture in back

House suffered a transverse process fracture in his back, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

The exactly recovery timetable for House is not yet clear, but it's expected to be at least a week or two before the defensive back can return to the field. With House's looming absence, Demarious Randall will take over the top cornerback spot for the Packers' injury-plagued secondary.

  • Packers' Davon House: Carted off field Sunday

House is out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Browns with a lower back injury.

House already was playing through a shoulder injury in Sunday's game, but this injury looked far from an aggravation, as he was grabbing his lower back before being loaded onto the cart. This is a huge blow to the Packers' secondary, which just placed Kevin King (shoulder) on injured reserve. Damarious Randall will take over the top cornerback position, while a mix of Donatello Brown, Josh Hawkins and Lenzy Pipkins fulfill the remaining duties.

  • Packers' Davon House: Taking the field against Cleveland

House (shoulder) is active Sunday against the Browns.

House didn't practice all week and was given a "doubtful" tag, but will beat the odds and suit up nonetheless for a must-win game for the Packers. As long as he's healthy enough to take on a full workload, look for him to see the majority of the snaps opposite Damarious Randall in the Green Bay secondary.

  • Packers' Davon House: Doubtful for Week 14

House (shoulder) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Browns, Wes Hodkiewicz of reports.

House has started in six consecutive games at cornerback for the Packers, but all signs point to that streak coming to an end in Week 14 due to a shoulder injury. If House is ultimately unable to suit up, Josh Hawkins would likely be in line to start across from Damarious Randall.

  • Packers' Davon House: Absent from practice field Wednesday

House (shoulder) didn't practice with the team Wednesday, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.

House has been consistently logging full workloads for the last six weeks, accruing 31 tackles, one sack and one interception in that span. If he can get healthy for Sunday's game against the Browns, he'll have a juicy matchup against a Cleveland squad that has thrown a league-high 21 interceptions this season.

  • Packers' Davon House: Makes nine tackles Monday

House posted a season-high nine tackles (eight solo) against the Lions on Monday.

Monday's game was House's best in the past two seasons, even though the outcome wasn't favorable for the Packers. However, it's clear House has the trust of the coaching staff, as he played every defensive snap Monday, and he likely will have similar responsibilities against the Bears in Week 10.
