The Colts signed free agent running back Michael Hill and placed guard Hugh Thornton (knee) on injured reserve. Hill was on the team's practice squad in November.
As a rookie with the Buccaneers last season, Hill ran nine times for 23 yards and caught two passes for 23 yards.
