The Chiefs cut 14 players on Sunday to trim their roster to 75, and the only surprise was second-year FB Shane Bannon, who was listed first on the depth chart. Other than that, it was mostly undrafted rookies who didn't make the cut.
Notable cuts: FB Shane Bannon (2nd year, Yale): Bannon was a seventh-round pick in 2011 and had been listed as the starter on the depth chart. Patrick DiMarco, who was signed after training camp began, is the only fullback left on the roster. Either the Chiefs plan to keep DiMarco or they're considering not keeping a fullback. ... WR Jeremy Horne (3rd year, Massachusetts): Horne played in 12 regular season games the last two seasons, moving up and down off the practice squad. He has never had a reception in the regular season and was mostly a contributor on special teams.
