Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Ruled out Thursday
Williamson is out for Thursday's game versus the Kings due to a return to play reconditioning.
Williamson hasn't suffered any injury but will sit out the second leg of New Orleans' back-to-back Thursday. Karlo Matkovic, Javonte Green and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl will likely receive increased playing time in his absence. Williamson's next chance to suit up will come after the All-Star break against Dallas on Feb. 21.

Williamson will play Wednesday against Sacramento. The superstar forward dropped a season-high 40 points against the Kings on Feb. 8. He's averaging 23.9 points, 7.3 rebounds, 4.9 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.0 blocks per game while shooting 53.6 percent from the field this season for New Orleans.

Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Iffy for Wednesday
Williamson (return to play conditioning) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Kings, Will Guillory of The Athletic reports.
Wednesday's game is the front end of a back-to-back set, as the Pelicans have a rematch scheduled against the Kings for Thursday. With that in mind, it's very likely that Williamson will see the floor in just one of these games. Whenever Williamson sits, the Pelicans could look to guys like Bruce Brown and Jordan Hawkins to absorb some minutes.

Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Little impact in loss
Williamson amassed 17 points (6-11 FG, 5-9 FT), two rebounds, five assists and one steal in 26 minutes during Monday's 137-101 loss to the Thunder.
Williamson struggled to make an impact in Monday's loss to the Thunder, scoring 17 points in 26 minutes on the floor for New Orleans. The superstar forward has been tasked with being the team's leader moving forward, with Dejounte Murray (Achilles) out for the rest of the season and Brandon Ingram recently being traded to the Raptors. However, after dropping a season-high 40 points in Saturday's loss to the Kings, Williamson couldn't replicate that performance Monday against arguably the best team in the Western Conference.

Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Erupts for season-high 40 in loss
Williamson amassed 40 points (16-21 FG, 8-11 FT), four rebounds, four assists and two steals in 28 minutes during Saturday's 123-118 loss to the Kings.
The 24-year-old forward produced a new season high as he led all scorers on the night, but Williamson's huge effort couldn't stop the Pelicans from blowing an early 20-point lead. While an illness cost him three of the last 10 games, Williamson has looked very good when he's been in the lineup, scoring 24 or more points six times in those seven appearances and averaging 27.7 points, 7.7 boards, 4.3 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.1 blocks over that stretch while shooting a blistering 60.0 percent from the floor.

Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Posts team-high 28 points
Williamson finished with 28 points (11-19 FG, 6-9 FT), six rebounds, four assists and two steals over 27 minutes during Wednesday's 144-119 loss to the Nuggets.
Despite the experiment of an Ingram-Williamson combo coming to an untimely end, the dynamic fifth-year pro continued his solid 2024 campaign with an impressive set of numbers in the blowout loss. The recent trade doesn't give Williamson and company much immediate help, which is a signal of recognition from the team that their current 15th-place ranking in the West might not improve enough to make a difference this season.

Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Will play Monday vs. Denver
Williamson (illness) is available for Monday's game against the Nuggets.
A stomach bug prevented Williamson from playing in Friday's 118-116 loss to the Celtics. It appears he was able to recover from his illness over the weekend and has been cleared to play Monday. Williamson has averaged 26.6 points (on 61.5 percent shooting), 9.0 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 1.6 blocks over 25.6 minutes per game over his last five outings.

Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Out Friday with stomach illness
Pelicans head coach Willie Green said that Williamson is dealing with a stomach illness and won't play Friday against the Celtics, Erin Summers of the Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network reports.
After filling up the stat sheet in Wednesday's loss to the Mavericks with 29 points, seven assists, six rebounds and two steals in 28 minutes, Williamson fell ill and will now have to miss his 36th game of the season. With Williamson sidelined, Javonte Green and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl will likely cover most of the minutest at power forward.

Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Iffy Friday
Williamson (illness) is questionable for Friday's game against Boston.
Williamson is in jeopardy of missing Friday's contest while he deals with a non-COVID illness. If the star big man is sidelined, Javonte Green and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl will likely see an uptick in playing time. Williamson has appeared in three consecutive outings, during which he has averaged 29.3 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.3 blocks and 1.0 steals across 27.0 minutes per contest.

Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Pours in 31 in Monday's loss
Williamson supplied 31 points (13-18 FG, 5-8 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and three blocks over 27 minutes during Monday's 113-104 loss to the Raptors.
The 24-year-old forward topped 30 points for the first time since Nov. 1, leading all scorers on the night, but it wasn't enough to get the Pelicans a win. Williamson has only been on the court for six of New Orleans' last 11 games, but he's been productive when available, averaging 23.7 points, 8.7 boards, 4.3 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.5 blocks while shooting 57.3 percent from the floor.

Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Posts big double-double in return
Williamson (illness) racked up 28 points (11-20 FG, 6-8 FT), 11 rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal in 26 minutes during Saturday's 123-92 loss to the Hornets.
Back in action after a two-game absence due to an illness and return to competition reconditioning, Williamson had arguably his best outing Saturday since returning Jan. 7 following a two-month absence due to a hamstring injury. In the five games he's played since his return, Williamson has averaged 22.2 points on 54.1 percent shooting, 9.0 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.2 blocks over 25.7 minutes per game. The Pelicans may continue to keep him under 30 minutes for at least another game or two while he ramps back up, and Williamson will also be a candidate to sit out one leg of future back-to-back sets.

Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Good to go Saturday
Williamson (conditioning) isn't on the injury report for Saturday's game versus the Hornets.
Williamson will return to action Saturday after sitting out New Orleans' previous contest due to an illness and return-to-competition reconditioning. The 24-year-old forward is averaging 22.4 points, 8.4 rebounds, 5.2 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.2 blocks in 26.4 minutes across his last five appearances.

Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Expected to play Saturday
Williamson (conditioning) is expected to play Saturday against the Grizzlies, Will Guillory of The Athletic reports.
After missing Monday's 123-119 win over the Jazz with an illness, Williamson's absence in Friday's 139-126 loss to the Grizzlies was attributed to "return-to-competition reconditioning." The power forward seems to have made enough progress in regaining conditioning to suit up in the second leg of the back-to-back set, though his status likely won't be confirmed until a few hours before the 7 p.m. ET tipoff. Considering that Williamson had averaged 25.8 minutes per game in his four appearances earlier in January following a two-month absence due to a hamstring injury, he'll likely be operating with a playing-time restriction Saturday if he suits up.

Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Won't play Friday
Williamson is out for Friday's game versus the Grizzlies due to a return to competition reconditioning.
Williamson was deemed questionable for Wednesday's game against the Bucks due to an illness before the game was postponed. He'll remain out for the first leg of New Orleans' back-to-back set Friday, but Williamson appears to have recovered from the illness and just needs more time to rebuild conditioning. He could be ready to play Saturday versus Charlotte.

Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Wednesday's game postponed
The NBA announced that Wednesday's game between the Bucks and Pelicans has been postponed.
Due to a snow storm in New Orleans, the Pelicans were forced to postpone this game, with several roads in the area closed as a result of the extreme weather conditions. Williamson was considered questionable for this contest, but will now get a couple of extra days to recover for Friday's game versus Memphis.

Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Iffy for Wednesday
Williamson (illness) has been listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Bucks.
Williamson missed Monday's game against the Jazz with an illness and may be trending toward missing Wednesday's game against the Bucks. If the star forward can't go, the Pelicans could turn to Javonte Green, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl and Daniel Theis, especially if Yves Missi (illness) doesn't play, as he is also listed as questionable against Milwaukee.

Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Ruled out Monday
Williamson (illness) will not play Monday against the Jazz.
Williamson was previously carrying a questionable tag, so he can be considered day-to-day going forward. With Yves Missi (illness) also out, the Pelicans will be thin in the frontcourt. Javonte Green, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl and Daniel Theis will likely see increased run Monday night.
