  • Kings' Neemias Queta: Defends well at Summer League

Queta averaged 12.8 points, 6.5 rebound, 1.5 assists and 2.8 blocks in four Summer League games.

Queta proved that he can be a high-quality rim protector while anchoring the Kings' defense in Vegas. He did have to leave one contest against the Pacers due to left calf soreness, but the injury doesn't look to be anything of real concern. The Kings finished 27th in defensive rating last season, so they certainly could use help on that end. The only other true shot-blocker on the team is Richaun Holmes, who missed the end of last season while dealing with a personal matter. All things considered, Queta will face an uphill battle toward making an impact at the NBA level, but he fared well enough at Summer League that the Kings may give him an extended look during the preseason.

  • Kings' Neemias Queta: Good to go Wednesday

Queta (calf) will play Wednesday against the Thunder, Sean Cunningham of ABC 10 Sacramento reports.

Queta was unable to return to action Sunday after leaving due to calf soreness, but the problem appears to have subsided after a few days to rest. The big man tallied 12 points, seven boards and four blocks before his departure Sunday and will aim to follow that with another strong showing Wednesday.

  • Kings' Neemias Queta: Back with Kings on another two-way

Queta and the Kings agreed to a two-way contract Saturday.

Queta was on a two-way deal with the Kings last year as well. He appeared in 14 games with the parent club and averaged 3.2 points and 2.2 rebounds in 8.6 minutes. He should have a similar role this year.

  • Kings' Neemias Queta: Makes first appearance since Jan.

Queta racked up three points (1-1 FG, 1-2 FT) and one rebound in 15 minutes during Monday's 123-100 loss to the Heat.

Queta was elevated from the G League ahead of Monday's contest and made his first NBA appearance since Jan. 31. The rookie second-round pick played double-digit minutes for just the second time this season and connected on his only field-goal attempt. It's unclear if his increased playing time was a product of Sacramento's large deficit, or if the Kings are actually going to give the Utah State product an extended look over the final two weeks of the campaign, which would make sense given Domantas Sabonis (knee) and Richaun Holmes (personal) are both out for an extended period. Regardless, Queta isn't expected to generate enough production to warrant fantasy consideration.

  • Kings' Neemias Queta: Rejects four shots

Queta produced 19 points (7-11 FG, 3-4 FT), three rebounds, three assists and four blocks over 32 minutes during Monday's 119-100 win over Austin.

The two-way player was a force on both ends of the floor, tying for a team-high in scoring while recording yet another multi-block game. As the Kings continue to fall behind in the Western Conference playoff race, it will be interesting to see if the organization decides to give their rookie some more NBA-level experience in their last few games.

The rookie out of Utah State is on a two-way contract with Sacramento but continues to shine when playing down with Stockton. Queta is averaging 16.5 points and 8.3 rebounds per game over his first 12 appearances in the G League.

Queta ended with 18 points (9-12 FG), nine rebounds, four assists, one steal and two blocks during Tuesday's 106-98 loss to the Hustle.

  • Kings' Neemias Queta: Solid all-around showing

Queta finished with 16 points (7-9 FG, 1-1 FT), eight rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block across 25 minutes during Thursday's 117-107 victory over Sioux Falls.

The rookie out of Utah State filled up the stat sheet during Stockton's win while playing just 25 minutes. Queta is on a two-way contract so he should be able to continue to put up solid numbers for Stockton as long as he is down with the team.

  • Kings' Neemias Queta: Double-double in defeat

Queta finished with 22 points (8-10 FG, 4-5 FT), 11 rebounds, one assist, one steal and two blocks across 28 minutes during Monday's 124-91 loss to Delaware.

After a brief stint with the parent club, the two-way player finds himself back in Stockton for now. The G League team is more than happy to have Queta back, as his 22 points were tied for the highest total on the team, while he also led his squad in rebounds. Queta figures to be one of Stockton's top options whenever he's with the team.

  • Kings' Neemias Queta: Notches season-best effort

Queta recorded 11 points (4-7 FG, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one steal in 24 minutes during Monday's 109-108 loss to the Cavaliers.

Queta entered the contest having logged just 11 total minutes across three games, but he was given the opportunity for an expanded role with Richaun Holmes (COVID-19 protocols), Damian Jones (COVID-19 protocols) and Tristan Thompson (quadriceps) all out of action. The rookie center did well with the chance, finishing with the first double-digit scoring performance of his career. Queta has spent most of the campaign in the G League with Stockton, averaging 16.0 points, 7.9 boards and 1.9 blocks over 13 games.

  • Kings' Neemias Queta: Plays first game since Dec. 20

Queta (COVID-19 health and safety protocols) tallied 21 points (9-13 FG, 2-3 FT), 12 rebounds, one assist and one block in 29 minutes Wednesday for the G League's Stockton Kings in the affiliate's 103-80 win over the Birmingham Squadron.

Queta entered the protocols Dec. 21, but he was cleared to rejoin the Kings on Dec. 30. He didn't appear in any games for the NBA team before being assigned to Stockton, and he looked plenty healthy Wednesday in his first game action at either level in about two and a half weeks. Even with a pair of frontcourt contributors in Richaun Holmes and Chimezie Metu in the protocols, Sacramento isn't expected to have room for Queta in the rotation in the near future.
