Spurs' David Jones Garcia: Fills up stat sheet in win
Jones Garcia finished with 21 points (8-15 FG, 3-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds and five assists across 27 minutes during Saturday's 76-67 win against the Mavericks.
Jones Garcia led all scorers for San Antonio on Saturday, as he took advantage of every minute he got off the bench. He helped pick up the slack with Dylan Harper playing only 17 minutes. This is the second straight Summer League game that Jones Garcia has scored 21 or more points, as he finished with 24 points in 18 minutes off the bench during Thursday's win against the 76ers.

Spurs' David Jones Garcia: Impresses in Summer League loss
Jones Garcia ended with 25 points (9-14 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds and five assists across 28 minutes in Tuesday's 89-88 Summer League loss to the Lakers.
Jones Garcia finished as San Antonio's leading scorer in an efficient outing. The 23-year-old also racked up a game-high mark in assists. Jones Garcia has notched 25 points in each of his last two Summer League appearances, during which he has shot 64.3 percent from the field. Across 46 G League outings between Mexico City and Salt Lake City in 2024-25, he averaged 21.3 points, 7.1 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.3 steals in 29.9 minutes per contest.

Spurs' David Jones Garcia: Scores 25 in Summer League
Jones Garcia logged 25 points (9-14 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 3-5 FT), three rebounds, three assists and three steals over 29 minutes during Sunday's 90-88 Summer League win over the Warriors.
Jones Garcia put together another impressive Summer League performance Sunday by putting up a game-high point total through elite shooting. Jones Garcia has scored 43 points through two games at Summer League, making him one of the standout performers thus far. It appears he will be the team's focal point offensively during the California Classic and perhaps throughout the entirety of Summer League, although it's worth noting the extra usage is partly the result of rookie first-round pick Dylan Harper (groin) and Riley Minix (shoulder) not yet having suited up.

Spurs' David Jones Garcia: Scores 18 points in loss
Jones Garcia logged 18 points (4-15 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 9-10 FT), seven rebounds, one steal and one turnover across 21 minutes of Saturday's 82-69 Summer League loss to the Heat.
If Saturday was any indication, Jones Garcia looks poised to be a featured player for the Spurs during the early stages of Summer League, soaking up a lot of usage with Dylan Harper (groin) on the shelf. As a rookie, Jones Garcia was a key player for the Mexico City Capitanes in the G League. Over 46 games played in the 2024-25 G League season, the forward averaged 21.3 points, 7.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists per contest.

Across 17 games with the Salt Lake City Stars and Mexico City Capitanes this season, he has averaged 15.6 points, 6.1 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.5 three-pointers, 1.1 steals and 0.9 blocks in 23.9 minutes per game.

Jazz's David Jones: Joins Utah on two-way deal
Jones and the Jazz agreed to a two-way contract Wednesday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
An undrafted rookie out of Memphis, Jones was waived by the 76ers back in September and had been playing for the G League's Mexico City Capitanes. Though he'll occupy one of the Jazz's three two-way spots and should have a chance at making his NBA debut at some point in 2024-25, he'll likely receive most of his minutes in the G League with Utah's affiliate, the Salt Lake City Stars.

David Jones: Waived by Philadelphia
Jones was waived by the 76ers on Wednesday, Paul Hudrick of Liberty Ballers reports.
The 76ers signed Lester Quinones to a two-way contract Wednesday, so Jones had to be waived to make that happen. An undrafted rookie out of Memphis, Jones averaged 21.8 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.5 three-pointers, 2.2 steals and 1.8 assists in 32.3 minutes per contest during his senior season.

Jones and the 76ers agreed to a two-way contract Thursday, Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
A forward out of Memphis, Jones doesn't have much height at 6-foot-4, but he's coming off a standout senior season. Across 32 appearances, Jones produced 21.8 points, 7.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 2.2 steals and 2.5 three-pointers. He's unlikely to crack the rotation early on for the 76ers.
