Dowtin underwent surgery on his right ankle Tuesday, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports.
Dowtin is set to wear a walking boot for the next two weeks and rehab into Toronto in the offseason. There is no indication that he won't be ready for the 2023-24 campaign. Dowtin averaged 2.4 points and 1.2 assists in 10.4 minutes across 25 games for Toronto last as a two-way player.
Dowtin (not injury related) is listed as out for Friday's game versus Boston, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports
Dowtin is one of Toronto's two-way players. Despite appearing in only 25 games, he was active for 50, which is the maximum for a two-way player in a single season. This means that Dowtin can't play any more contests for the Raptors in the regular season or playoffs, unless his contract is converted into a standard deal.

Dowtin, one of Toronto's two two-way players, missed the G League Raptors 905's most recent game Tuesday against the College Park Skyhawks due to a listed right ankle injury, but he was able to play through the issue for the shorthanded NBA squad Wednesday. Toronto ruled out six players due to injury ahead of the contest, enabling Dowtin to handle a light role off the bench behind backcourt starters Fred VanVleet and Will Barton.
