Randle chipped in 26 points (11-22 FG, 4-8 3Pt), nine rebounds, seven assists and one steal over 50 minutes during Tuesday's 140-139 double-overtime victory over the Nuggets. Randle is on an impressive three-game run, averaging 25.7 points, 7.7 rebounds and 6.7 assists over the span. The Timberwolves are tough to beat when Randle and Rudy Gobert are both healthy, and Randle's partner has been equally prolific with 77 rebounds over the past five games.... See More ... See Less

Timberwolves' Julius Randle: Excellent in win over Detroit
Randle ended Sunday's 123-104 win over Detroit with 26 points (9-18 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 7-7 FT), eight rebounds, five assists and one block across 32 minutes. Randle is aiming to end the season on a strong note, and if the Timberwolves want to make a deep playoff run, they need Randle to be at his best offensively in order to operate as the team's second option behind Anthony Edwards. Randle is doing just that, as he's scored at least 20 points in three of his last four games. He's averaging 18.6 points, 6.4 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game since the beginning of March, but his numbers seem to be trending in the right direction.... See More ... See Less -
Timberwolves' Julius Randle: Drops game-high 25 against Phoenix
Randle contributed 25 points (9-15 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 5-5 FT), six rebounds, eight assists, one block and one steal in 32 minutes during Friday's 124-109 win over Phoenix. The 25 points led all scorers on the night, as Randle bounced back from a disappointing nine-point showing in Minnesota's last game Monday. The veteran forward has delivered 20 or more points in six of 13 contests in March after missing all of February due to a groin strain, averaging 18.0 points, 6.3 boards, 5.4 assists and 1.4 threes on the month while shooting 53.3 percent from the floor.... Timberwolves' Julius Randle: Scores team-high 20 points Friday
Randle chipped in 20 points (7-11 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds, five assists and two steals in 25 minutes during Friday's 134-93 victory over New Orleans. Anthony Edwards didn't have his best performance Friday, so Randle stepped up and led Minnesota in scoring in this blowout win. The star forward, who was efficient in missing just four of his 11 shots from the floor, also reached the 20-point mark for the third time over his last six appearances. Randle didn't log a single minute in February while rehabbing from a groin injury, but he's averaging a solid line of 18.2 points, 6.4 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game in 11 outings since the beginning of March.... Timberwolves' Julius Randle: Efficient despite loss Wednesday
Randle notched 17 points (7-10 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, three assists and one block across 28 minutes during Wednesday's 119-115 loss to the Pelicans. Randle has been remarkably consistent as the Timberwolves' second scoring option behind Anthony Edwards, and he's surpassed the 15-point mark seven times over his 10 appearances in March. He has only three double-doubles in that stretch, but Randle will remain valuable in fantasy if he stays healthy due to his ability to impact the game in more than one way.... See More ... See Less -
Timberwolves' Julius Randle: Scores 17 points Monday
Randle closed with 17 points (5-11 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 6-10 FT), six rebounds, four assists and one steal across 41 minutes during Monday's 132-130 overtime loss to the Pacers. Randle has been scoring in double digits on a regular basis, and his numbers back him up as the second-best option on offense behind Anthony Edwards. The uptick in efficiency has been noticeable since his return to the hardwood March 2. Over nine contests this month, Randle is averaging 18.1 points, 6.8 rebounds and 5.8 assists per game while shooting an impressive 50.5 percent from the floor.... See More ... See Less -
Timberwolves' Julius Randle: Limited action in blowout win
Randle recorded 11 points (4-9 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-4 FT), three rebounds and four assists over 20 minutes during Sunday's 128-102 win over the Jazz. Randle recently missed an extended period of time with a groin injury, so perhaps the Timberwolves embraced the luxury of being able to limit his playing time in Sunday's easy win. Fantasy managers can expect the star forward to bounce back soon, as Randle has averaged 18.3 points, 6.9 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 1.4 three-pointers in 29.8 minutes across his last eight contests.... Timberwolves' Julius Randle: Drops 25 in Denver
Randle racked up 25 points (9-12 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 4-6 FT), four rebounds, three assists and two steals across 28 minutes during Wednesday's 115-95 win over the Nuggets. The 25 points tied his high-water mark since he rejoined the lineup at the beginning of the month after recovering from a groin injury. Over those six March appearances, Randle's averaging 18.8 points, 7.5 boards, 6.5 assists and 1.5 threes while shooting 51.3 percent from the floor.... See More ... See Less -
Timberwolves' Julius Randle: Double-double in Sunday's win
Randle closed Sunday's 141-124 win over the Spurs with 14 points (5-14 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, 10 assists and one block over 30 minutes. The veteran forward has teased a triple-double in three straight games, missing by a single assist Wednesday and Friday before dishing enough dimes but falling short on the glass Sunday. Randle appears fully recovered from his groin injury, and over five games since his return, he's averaging 17.6 points, 8.2 boards, 7.2 assists and 1.2 threes.... See More ... See Less -
Timberwolves' Julius Randle: Sniffs triple-double
Randle closed with 13 points (4-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 5-6 FT), 10 rebounds and nine assists in 34 minutes during Friday's 106-104 victory over Miami. Randle matched Anthony Edwards' 13-point output in this low-scoring contest, but the veteran forward was one of the top fantasy contributors for Minnesota due to his numbers in other categories, as he ended just one assist away from a triple-double. Randle finished just one dime away from a triple-double for the second game in a row, and while there's still some rust in him following his 13-game absence in February, he's performed better than expected in his return to the hardwood. He's averaging 18.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 0.3 steals per game in four appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Timberwolves' Julius Randle: Nears triple-double in victory
Randle contributed 25 points (8-18 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 7-8 FT), 10 rebounds and nine assists over 35 minutes in Wednesday's 125-110 win over Charlotte. Randle put together one of his best outings of the season in Wednesday's contest, leading all Timberwolves in assists while hauling in a team-high-tying rebound total and finishing one dime shy of a triple-double in a 25-point performance. Randle tied a season high in assists, tallying his 11th double-double of the year. He has recorded at least 20 points and 10 boards in seven appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Timberwolves' Julius Randle: Will play and start Wednesday
Randle (groin) has been cleared to play and start in Wednesday's game against the Hornets. After nearing a double-double in Tuesday's win against the 76ers, Randle will be back in the lineup Wednesday in Charlotte. Following a 13-game absence due to a groin injury, the veteran big man has played well for Minnesota, averaging 18.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists over the last two games while shooting 56.5 percent from the field.... Timberwolves' Julius Randle: Questionable against Charlotte
Randle is questionable for Wednesday's game against Charlotte with a right groin strain. Randle, who just recently returned to action for Minnesota, played 30 minutes Tuesday against the 76ers and finished with 16 points, eight rebounds, five assists and one steal. Therefore, it's not a surprise that the Timberwolves are contemplating a maintenance day for the forward. Rudy Gobert, who has been battling a back issue, remains out for Minnesota.... See More ... Timberwolves' Julius Randle: Cleared to play Tuesday
Randle (groin) is available for Tuesday's game against the 76ers. Randle missed all of February due to a right groin strain. He made his return Sunday against the Suns and finished with 20 points, six rebounds and three assists over 34 minutes. Randle will play Tuesday, but it wouldn't be surprising if he's held out for the second leg of the Timberwolves' back-to-back set Wednesday against the Hornets.... See More ... See Less -
Timberwolves' Julius Randle: Questionable with groin strain
Randle is questionable for Tuesday's game against Philadelphia due to a right groin strain. The Timberwolves have a short turnaround Wednesday against the Hornets, so the team could opt to keep Randle out of the lineup on one leg of this back-to-back set. With Rudy Gobert (back) out Tuesday, Minnesota's frontcourt could be significantly undermanned. Donte DiVincenzo and Nickeil Alexander-Walker could take on more playing time if Randle is sidelined against the 76ers.... See More ... See Less -
Timberwolves' Julius Randle: Supplies 20 points in return
Randle (groin) totaled 20 points (8-14 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds and three assists across 34 minutes during Sunday's 116-98 victory over Phoenix. Playing for the first time since Jan. 30, Randle looked fully recovered from his right groin strain. The 30-year-old forward struggled to find consistency over his first few months with the Timberwolves, but he had been showing signs at the end of January that he was getting more comfortable, scoring at least 20 points in three straight contests before getting hurt. He returned Sunday with an efficient performance, and he didn't seem to be operating with any restrictions either, as his 34 minutes were right in line with his season-long average (32.6 per game).... Timberwolves' Julius Randle: Cleared to play Sunday
Randle (groin) will be available for Sunday's game against the Suns, Alan Horton of the Timberwolves Radio Network reports. Randle has been out of action since Jan. 30 due to a right groin strain, but he's progressed enough in his recovery to return to the floor Sunday. The Timberwolves haven't indicated whether Randle will operate under a minutes restriction, but that may be a fair assumption, given the length of his absence. Randle will likely start alongside Naz Reid in the frontcourt until Rudy Gobert (back) is cleared to return, at which point Reid will likely move back to the bench.... See More ... See Less -
Timberwolves' Julius Randle: Questionable for Sunday
Randle (groin) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Suns. Randle hasn't stepped on the court since logging 10 minutes in a 138-113 win over the Jazz and missed the entire month of February, but he might be ready to return to action Sunday. Randle is averaging 18.9 points, 7.2 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 0.7 steals per game across 48 starts this season. If he isn't deemed ready to return, then Jaden McDaniels would remain as the starting power forward.... See More ... See Less -
Timberwolves' Julius Randle: No target date for return
Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch said prior to Thursday's 111-102 loss to the Lakers that Randle (groin) and Rudy Gobert (back) are both "close" to playing in games, but no formal target date for either player has been established, Charlie Walton of ZoneCoverage.com reports. "We don't anticipate either of them in the near, near future, but they are both going in the right direction," Finch said of Randle and Gobert. Though Minnesota returned Donte DiVincenzo (toe) from an extended absence Thursday, the team looks as though it'll have to wait a bit longer to get back to full strength while Randle and Gobert are on the mend from injuries. Based on Finch's comments, Randle and Gobert can both be ruled out for the second leg of Minnesota's back-to-back set Friday in Utah, and a return from either player in the final game of the road trip Sunday in Phoenix may be ambitious. Naz Reid and Jalen McDaniels should continue to benefit from elevated playing time in the frontcourt until Randle and Gobert return. Randle hasn't played since Jan. 30 due to a right groin strain.... Timberwolves' Julius Randle: Still sidelined
Randle (groin) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Lakers. Randle will miss a 12th straight game due to a strained right groin. He was cleared for five-on-five activities Feb. 20, which implies he is closing in on a return. His next chance to play will come Friday at Utah. While he's sidelined, look for Naz Reid, Luka Garza and Terrence Shannon to see more minutes.... See More ... See Less
