Plumlee posted three points (1-1 FG, 1-1 FT) and two rebounds across six minutes during Friday's 112-104 loss to the Pelicans. Plumlee was used sparingly, managing just six minutes in the loss. The Pelicans are fine with running out a small-ball lineup, negating the impact of players like Plumee and Daniel Theis. Given Plumlee has played fewer than 10 minutes in four straight games, fantasy managers are well within reason to ignore him across all fantasy formats.... See More ... See Less

Clippers' Mason Plumlee: Nears double-double off bench
Plumlee produced eight points (4-5 FG, 0-2 FT), 11 rebounds and three blocks over 20 minutes during Wednesday's 122-116 victory over the Rockets. Plumlee led all Los Angeles players in rebounds along with a team-leading trio of blocks while ending two points shy of a double-double to provide a spark off the bench in a winning effort. Plumlee has surpassed the double-digit rebound total four games this season, including in two straight contests. He has recorded at least three blocks in two games, the other occurrence being Jan. 16 against Oklahoma City.... See More ... See Less -
Clippers' Mason Plumlee: Perfect from field
Plumlee contributed eight points (3-3 FG, 2-4 FT), four rebounds, two assists and one steal in the Clippers' 116-112 loss to the Lakers on Wednesday. Plumlee had an efficient night from the field in his 16 minutes, the most he has played since his last start Feb. 5. Since his move to the bench, the big man has averaged 6.1 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 12 minutes per game. The 33-year-old will likely see a decline in usage as Ivica Zubac (illness) is presumed to be returning to the rotation, leaving Plumlee battling for minutes with Daniel Theis, who started in Zubac's absence.... Clippers' Mason Plumlee: Returns to bench
Plumlee isn't in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Pelicans. Ivica Zubac will replace Mason Plumlee in the starting five Wednesday. Plumlee is averaging 5.2 points and 4.9 rebounds in 15.7 minutes across his previous 10 appearances coming off the bench this season.... See More ... See Less -
Clippers' Mason Plumlee: Back in starting role
Plumlee is starting Monday's game against the Hawks, Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints.com reports. Ivica Zubac (calf) was officially ruled out a few hours before tipoff, so it'll be Plumlee who draws the start at center. While Zubac recently missed nine straight games with the calf strain, Plumlee made eight starts during that stretch and averaged 7.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 0.6 blocks in 21.9 minutes.... Clippers' Mason Plumlee: Back to bench
Plumlee won't start Sunday's game against the Heat, Tim Reynolds of Associated Press reports. Plumlee's streak of starts will end at eight, as Ivica Zubac (calf) has been cleared to return from a multi-week absence. As a starter, Plumlee averaged 7.9 points and 7.4 rebounds in 21.9 minutes per game, but he figures to see a reduced workload moving forward.... See More ... See Less -
Clippers' Mason Plumlee: Notches first double-double
Plumlee accumulated 12 points (6-12 FG), 12 rebounds and three assists across 25 minutes during Friday's 127-107 win over the Raptors. With Ivica Zubac (calf) out for a fifth straight game, Plumlee got another start and came through with his first double-double of the season in 13 contests. The veteran center hasn't been very consistent in his new role, though -- he managed zero points, two boards and zero blocks in 19 minutes against the Lakers in the Clippers' last game. Over his four starts, Plumlee is averaging 8.3 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 0.8 blocks in 21.8 minutes per contest.... See More ... See Less -
Clippers' Mason Plumlee: Swats three shots in start
Plumlee finished with 14 points (5-5 FG, 4-7 FT), five rebounds, two assists and three blocks over 28 minutes during Tuesday's 128-117 victory over the Thunder. With Ivica Zubac (calf) out of action, Plumlee got his first start of the season, and he performed well on both ends of the court with a season-high mark in both scoring and swats. Plumlee played 28 minutes in the victory, while Daniel Theis -- who started the team's previous contest -- logged 20 minutes off the bench. Zubac is expected to be out for at least four weeks, which should give Plumlee an extended chance to make an impact, especially if he can hold onto a starting role. It's probably not wise to bank on this type of defensive performance consistently -- Plumlee came into the game with just one block over his first 10 contests and hasn't averaged a block per game in any season since 2017-18 -- but he's shown in the past that he can be a useful contributor of points, boards and even a smattering of assists when given the opportunity.... Clippers' Mason Plumlee: Gets starting nod
Plumlee is in the starting for Tuesday's game versus the Thunder, Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints.com reports. Plumlee will replace Daniel Theis in the starting five Tuesday, with Ivica Zubac (calf) out. Plumlee is averaging 5.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 14.4 minutes across his first nine appearances this season. However, the veteran big man is expected to remain on a minute restriction.... See More ... See Less -
Clippers' Mason Plumlee: Recalled to NBA
The Clippers recalled Plumlee from the G League's Ontario Clippers on Wednesday. Plumlee had a brief stint in the G League while working his way back from a lengthy absence due to an MCL sprain. However, the veteran big man will join the NBA squad and should compete with Daniel Theis for backup center minutes behind Ivica Zubac.... See More ... See Less -
Clippers' Mason Plumlee: Balanced showing in G League outing
Plumlee posted 14 points (5-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-3 FT), seven rebounds, four assists and two steals over 29 minutes in Wednesday's 125-114 loss to Stockton. Plumlee made his first appearance of the year with Ontario while working back from an MCL sprain, debuting in the G League by hauling in a team-high-tying rebound total and ending as one of five players with a double-digit point total in a losing effort. In eight games at the NBA level, Plumlee has averaged 4.9 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists over 14.3 minutes for Los Angeles.... See More ... See Less -
Clippers' Mason Plumlee: Suiting up in G League
Plumlee (knee, conditioning) will play in the Ontario Clippers' G League game versus the Stockton Kings, Justin Russo of the 'Clip & Roll' podcast reports. After recovering from an MCL sprain, Plumlee was cleared from the injury report Jan. 1. However, he didn't see any action in back-to-back games before making a seven-minute appearance in last Friday's win over the Pelicans. While Plumlee is cleared for game action, it appears he's still working his way back to full strength. Daniel Theis continues to operate as the primary backup to Ivica Zubac, with Plumlee in limbo. It wouldn't be surprising to see Plumlee play in a few games with Ontario before returning to the NBA club.... See More ... See Less -
Clippers' Mason Plumlee: Makes first appearance in two months
Plumlee (knee) played seven minutes in Friday's 111-95 win over the Pelicans, finishing with eight points (2-2 FG, 4-5 FT) and two rebounds. Plumlee was cleared to return to action Jan. 1, but he didn't appear in either of the Clippers' first two games of the month before he made his return to action Friday, when he checked into the game with 7:11 remaining in the fourth quarter. The 33-year-old was productive during his time on the court in his first appearance in two months following an extended recovery from an MCL sprain, but Plumlee looks as though he'll still be on the outside of the rotation for now. Expect Daniel Theis to continue serving as the primary backup to starting center Ivica Zubac while the Clippers -- who have won 14 of their last 16 games -- continue to roll.... See More ... Clippers' Mason Plumlee: Still not at full strength
Plumlee, who was removed from the injury report at the beginning of January, said Friday that he is still working to get his conditioning back but feels like he's "really close" to full strength, Andrew Greif of the Los Angeles Times reports. With the Clippers rolling, Plumlee has been fine with letting Daniel Theis operate as the primary backup to Ivica Zubac. Plumlee missed 25 straight games due to a left MCL sprain and was cleared to start January, but he hasn't seen the floor over the last two games. Even when he is reintegrated into the rotation, Plumlee likely won't garner a large enough role to crack relevancy in standard fantasy leagues.... See More ... See Less -
Clippers' Mason Plumlee: Cleared for action
Plumlee (knee) has been cleared to return Monday against Miami, Justin Russo of the 'Clip & Roll' podcast reports. Plumlee is active following a 25-game absence after spraining his left MCL on Nov. 6 against the Knicks. Coach Tyronn Lue noted that Plumlee is still acclimating to a knee brace he will wear in games, so Plumlee will likely be ramped up cautiously. Ivica Zubac and Daniel Theis will continue controlling the big man minutes Monday, but Plumlee's return to health brings the Clippers to full strength, adding a synergistic offensive presence and passable rim protector to the rotation.... See More ... See Less -
Clippers' Mason Plumlee: Logs full practice Sunday
Plumlee (knee) was a full participant during Sunday's practice, Justin Russo of the 'Clip & Roll' podcast reports. It was Plumlee's first full practice since suffering a left MCL sprain Nov. 6. Coach Tyronn Lue said the veteran big man has been participating in the team's "stay ready" games, so it wouldn't be surprising to see him upgraded to questionable soon.... See More ... See Less -
Clippers' Mason Plumlee: To be re-evaluated next month
The Clippers announced Sunday that Plumlee (knee) will be re-evaluated in four weeks as he recovers from a serious MCL sprain, Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints.com reports. Plumlee suffered a left MCL sprain on Nov. 6 against the Knicks. While the grade of his sprain has not been publicized, his lengthy recovery timeline indicates a longer absence is likely. He will miss the Clippers' next 11 games prior to being re-evaluated.... See More ... See Less -
Clippers' Mason Plumlee: Could be out two months
Plumlee (knee) is expected to be sidelined for up to two months while he recovers from the left MCL sprain he sustained in Monday's 111-97 loss to the Knicks, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Plumlee was injured in the third quarter of Monday's game, when the Knicks' Julius Randle stumbled into his left leg. With Plumlee now likely out of commission until the 2024 portion of the Clippers' schedule, Ivica Zubac could be the beneficiary of a larger share of the minutes at center, as he and Plumlee had previously been working in a near-even timeshare. While Plumlee was sidelined for the Clippers' 100-93 loss to the Nets on Wednesday, the newly acquired P.J. Tucker (21 minutes) operated as a small-ball center when Zubac (29 minutes) was off the court.... See More ... See Less -
Clippers' Mason Plumlee: Diagnosed with MCL sprain
Plumlee was diagnosed with a left knee MCL sprain Tuesday and will return to Los Angeles for further evaluation, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Plumlee will reportedly be re-evaluated Thursday in Los Angeles, so it's safe to assume the backup big man will miss the remaining two games on the Clippers' road trip -- Wednesday in Brooklyn and Friday in Dallas. If that's the case, Plumlee's next chance to suit up would come Sunday versus Memphis. However, he's likely looking at a multi-week absence. In Plumlee's stead, Moussa Diabate and P.J. Tucker could see increased minutes as the backup center behind Ivica Zubac.... See More ... See Less -
Clippers' Mason Plumlee: Diagnosed with knee sprain
Plumless has been ruled out for the rest of Monday's game against the Knicks due to a left knee sprain, Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN.com reports. Plumlee needed help exiting the court after colliding with Julius Randle in the second half, and he's since been ruled out for the remainder of the contest. Moussa Diabate and P.J. Tucker could be in line for additional minutes down the stretch of Monday's matchup with Plumlee shut down.... See More ... See Less
