Thunder's Victor Oladipo: Traded to Thunder
Oladipo (knee) was traded to the Thunder from the Heat on Friday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
This was essentially a salary dump, as the Heat will be attaching draft compensation to unload Oladipo's $9.4 million expiring contract. This also grants Miami a $9.4 million trade exception. It's unclear what kind of role Oladipo will play in Oklahoma City, but for starters he has to get healthy first. Oladipo underwent patellar tendon surgery in his left knee April 8, and there hasn't been a concrete timetable reported yet.

Heat's Victor Oladipo: Exercises player option
Oladipo (knee) has exercised his $9.4 million player option for the 2023-24 season, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
This move was widely expected, as the market for Oladipo likely would've been soft following another injury-plagued season. Most recently, Oladipo underwent patellar tendon surgery in his left knee April 8, putting his status for the start of the season in jeopardy. Oladipo appeared in 42 games in 2022-23, averaging 10.7 points, 3.5 assists, 3.0 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 1.7 three-pointers on 39.7 percent shooting.

Heat's Victor Oladipo: Undergoes successful surgery
Oladipo underwent successful patellar tendon surgery in his left knee Thursday and has no timetable for a return.
While there is optimism that Oladipo can return to the court for the 2023-24 campaign, his injury history puts that into question. The 30-year-old guard has a player option this offseason to return to the Heat.

Heat's Victor Oladipo: Optimism about return timetable
Oladipo is set to undergo season-ending left knee surgery this week, but there's optimism he'll be able to resume basketball activities in six months and return to action during the 2023-24 campaign, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
This will be the third major lower-body surgery for Oladipo over the past four years, so Miami is expected to proceed with immense caution, though the initial sentiments appear to be encouraging. Even if the Indiana product is able to play in a contest before 2024, he would presumably be kept on a strict minutes restriction and monitored closely every game, likely making him a non-factor during fantasy drafts next season.

Heat's Victor Oladipo: Suffers season-ending knee injury
Oladipo suffered a season-ending torn patellar tendon in his left knee during Saturday's Game 3 win over Milwaukee, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
This is the same knee that has given Oladipo so much trouble throughout his career, and he's likely looking at another lengthy rehab that will extend into the 2023-24 season. With Oladipo set to watch the rest of the postseason from the sidelines, his minutes figure to be divvied up among Duncan Robinson and Caleb Martin.

Heat's Victor Oladipo: Suffers knee injury
Oladipo suffered a left knee injury during Game 3 against the Bucks on Saturday and was taken to the locker room late in the fourth quarter, Wes Goldberg of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.
Oladipo suffered the injury in the final stages of the contest, as his left leg appeared to give out when he was driving to the basket with the Heat up by 24 points. Oladipo grabbed his surgically repaired knee, and even though he could walk to the locker room with the help of his teammates, the injury didn't look good. It won't be surprising if Oladipo is forced to miss time.

Heat's Victor Oladipo: Flirts with double-double in win
Oladipo accumulated 19 points (7-12 FG, 5-8 3Pt), two rebounds, eight assists and two steals across 23 minutes during Sunday's 123-110 victory over the Magic.
Oladipo was highly productive in the regular-season finale, falling just two assists short of a double-double. Although it has been a disappointing season for the veteran, the fact he has been relatively healthy should be viewed as a huge positive. Should the Heat progress to the playoffs, Oladipo could find himself inserted into the rotation at times, depending on the specific situation. Looking ahead to next season, it's hard to see him being anything more than a role player, much like he was this season.

Heat's Victor Oladipo: Will feature against Orlando
Oladipo (elbow) is available to play Sunday against the Magic.
Oladipo is coming off a 30-point performance as a reserve against the Wizards on Friday, and he will play through the injury in the season finale. Head coach Erik Spoelstra said the starters will see a reduced workload, per Will Manso of Local 10 Miami, so Oladipo could be in line for another outing with a heavy workload.
