  • 76ers' Danny Green: Inks deal with Philadelphia

Green agreed to a one-year deal with the 76ers on Tuesday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

Green will begin his second stint with the 76ers after playing in 131 regular-season games with the club between the 2020-21 and 2021-22 campaigns before tearing the ACL and LCL in his left knee in Game 6 of Philadelphia's Eastern Conference Semifinals matchup with the Heat in May 2022. The 36-year-old was medically cleared last February but made just 11 appearances between the Grizzlies and Cavaliers, averaging 5.5 points and 1.3 rebounds in 12.6 minutes across 11 appearances. Though he's a career 40 percent shooter from three-point range and still offers good size on defense, Green won't enter the upcoming season as a lock to be included in head coach Nick Nurse's rotation.

  • Cavaliers' Danny Green: Sets season high as leading scorer

Green totaled 21 points (8-14 FG, 5-9 3Pt), three rebounds, three assists, one block and three steals in 26 minutes during Thursday's 118-94 victory over the Magic.

Green led all Cavaliers players in scoring, shots made and triples off the bench en route to a 21-point showing in Thursday's blowout victory. Green set a new season-high scoring mark in the game, with his previous season-high point total occurring March 4 against Detroit when he tallied six points.

  • Cavaliers' Danny Green: Upgraded to questionable

Green (COVID-19) is questionable for Friday's game versus the Knicks.

Despite being listed as out earlier, Green is now deemed questionable, meaning he has likely cleared health and safety protocols. Fantasy managers should check for another official injury report before tipoff to determine his status against New York.

Green (COVID-19) is available for Friday's game versus the Knicks, Danny Cunningham of 850 ESPN Cleveland reports.

Green has upgraded from questionable to available Friday after missing the previous two games in health and safety protocols. However, the veteran guard is averaging just 3.0 points in 6.4 minutes across his last five appearances.

  • Cavaliers' Danny Green: Out again Tuesday

Green (illness) has been ruled out for Tuesday's contest against the Hawks.

  • Cavaliers' Danny Green: Questionable Sunday

Green is dealing with an illness and is questionable to play Sunday against the Rockets.

Green is rarely in the rotation for the Cavs, so whether he plays won't influence fantasy hoops.

  • Cavaliers' Danny Green: Plays eight minutes in blowout

Green closed Saturday's 114-90 victory over the Pistons with six points (2-2 FG, 2-2 3Pt) and one steal in eight minutes.

Green saw action for just the fourth time since arriving in Cleveland, logging eight minutes as the game descended into garbage time. At this point in his career, Green is nothing more than a depth piece for the Cavaliers, providing more value as a locker-room presence as opposed to on-court value. Hence, his days of being fantasy relevant are well behind him.

  • Cavaliers' Danny Green: Will be available Wednesday

Green (recently signed) will be available for Wednesday's game against the 76ers, Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Green was traded by Memphis to Houston in a three-team deal at the deadline, but he negotiated a buyout with the Rockets and quickly signed a contract with Cleveland. He'll be available to make his Cavaliers debut Wednesday night against the 76ers, who Green played for during the 2020-21 and 2021-22 campaigns. It's unclear what the veteran sharpshooter's role will be with his new squad, but he figures to be a valuable bench piece behind the likes of Darius Garland, Donovan Mitchell and Isaac Okoro.

  • Cavaliers' Danny Green: Contract with Cleveland official

The Cavaliers signed Green to a one-year contract Wednesday.

Green had been linked to the Cavaliers over the weekend after he agreed to a buyout with the Rockets, but he first needed to clear waivers before becoming eligible to sign with Cleveland. Now that the deal is official, Green can formally join the Cavaliers, though it's unclear if he'll be an option off the bench Wednesday in Philadelphia since he hasn't yet had the chance to practice with the team. Once he's fully integrated in Cleveland, Green is likely to settle in as a reserve wing, with his arrival potentially resulting in fewer minutes for Isaac Okoro, Caris LeVert and/or Cedi Osman.

  • Cavaliers' Danny Green: Strikes deal with Cleveland

Green agreed Sunday with the Cavaliers on a one-year, $2 million contract and will join Cleveland once he clears waivers, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Green was sent to Houston as part of a three-team deal Thursday, but he was able to secure a buyout from the Rockets over the weekend and will now link up with a contending team. The 35-year-old veteran should step into a regular spot on the Cavaliers' second unit, but unless he settles into a consistent 25-plus-minute role, Green likely won't warrant much attention outside of deeper fantasy leagues. Green won't clear waivers before Monday and is thus unlikely to be available for the Cavaliers' game that day against San Antonio, but he could be an option for the final contest prior to the All-Star break Wednesday in Philadelphia.
