Sounds like he will give it a go.

Ken Berger of CBSSports.com reports that New York Knicks center Tyson Chandler is active and listed in the starting lineup for Game 1 of an Eastern Conference first round playoff series against the Miami Heat on Saturday. Chandler's status had been in doubt because he has been dealing with the flu.

Earlier, Knicks interim coach Mike Woodson said during his pre-game comments that Chandler would be a "game-time decision." Chandler did not practice on Friday.

Chandler, 29, averaged 11.3 points, 9.9 rebounds and 1.4 blocks for the Knicks this season. He is considered one of the top candidates to win the NBA's Defensive Player of the Year award. Chandler appeared in 62 out of 66 games this season despite dealing with an ongoing wrist injury.

New York, the East's No. 7 seed with a record of 36-30, will begin postseason play at No. 2 seed Miami, who finished with a record of 46-20.

If Chandler didn't play, power forward Amar'e Stoudemire would have started at center, small forward Carmelo Anthony would have shifted to power forward, and Landry Fields would have entered the starting lineup at the small forward position.
