It was a good night for Suns fan Tim Boven.
His Suns beat the Knicks 112-88, and he made a no-big-deal halfcourt shot for $77,777.
“Right after they asked I was shaking like crazy, I had to take a walk,” Boven told Fox Sports Arizona. “I calmed down, worked on my form back in the tunnel and here we are.”
That form was kind of unique. Instead of taking a running start, he sort of just squatted down and took a setshot of sorts. Hey, whatever works.
After hitting the shot, Boven executed a solid celebration, getting some quality dap from Suns players including Gerald Green, Eric Bledsoe, Markieff Morris, Archie Goodwin and others. Though if you're going to chest bump with Green, you're going to need to get a trampoline next time.
Boven said he plans to use the money to pay off his student loans. Good plan.
