With free agency starting at 12:01 am ET on July 1, here are the cap situations and team needs, along with a raw depth chart, for the 30 NBA teams looking to make some changes this offseason.

* Numbers are based on projected salary cap of $66.5 million for 2015-16 season

* Players with (r) next to their names are restricted free agents.

EASTERN CONFERENCE

ATLANTA HAWKS

Projected cap space: $3.4 million ($23.78 million without cap holds)

Max cap space possible: $25.91 million

Non-guaranteed deals: Mike Muscala ($947K), <player idref= ($1.18 million)

Free agents: Paul Millsap, DeMarre Carroll, Elton Brand, Pero Antic (r), John Jenkins

Raw depth chart:

PG: Jeff Teague, Dennis Schroeder, Shelvin Mack
SG: Kyle Korver, Tim Hardaway Jr.
SF: Kent Bazemore, Thabo Sefolosha, Austin Daye
PF: Mike Scott
C: Al Horford, Mike Muscala

Team needs: Starting power forward, starting small forward, backup power forward

The easy solution for the Hawks to solve those two starting positions is to re-sign Paul Millsap and DeMarre Carroll. Keeping the core of a 60-win team together, beefing up the bench and moving into next season with more continuity would be the ideal situation for the Hawks. If they lose out on Millsap and he heads elsewhere, especially with Carroll's cap hold being just $3.1 million. With Pero Antic expected to sign overseas, the Hawks need to re-sign Millsap, find a backup PF and then a fifth big man as well.

BOSTON CELTICS

Projected cap space: $19.44 million ($21.71 million without cap holds)

Max cap space possible: $23.54 million

Non-guaranteed deals: Phil Pressey ($947K), <player idref= ($947K)

Free agents: Brandon Bass, Jae Crowder (r), Jonas Jerebko, Gigi Datome (r)

Raw depth chart:

PG: Marcus Smart, Isaiah Thomas, Terry Rozier, Phil Pressey
SG: Avery Bradley, R.J. Hunter, Chris Babb
SF: Evan Turner, James Young, Gerald Wallace
PF: Jared Sullinger, Jordan Mickey
C: Tyler Zeller, Kelly Olynyk

Team needs: Any starting quality big man, small forward depth

The Boston Celtics will have significant cap room this summer and if they can package their bevy of future picks with Gerald Wallace so a team will take his $10.1 million expiring deal, they could have max cap room and enough for another major role player. Kevin Love will be a target for them, and you can expect them to kick the tires on LaMarcus Aldridge and maybe even Greg Monroe. This team needs a real inside presence though, along with re-signing Jae Crowder and looking to add another quality veteran role player. Danny Ainge's rebuilding/retooling project is still very much in flux.

BROOKLYN NETS

Projected cap space: None ($1.11 million without cap holds)

Max cap space possible: $5.76 million

Non-guaranteed deals: Darius Morris ($1 million), Markel Brown ($845K), Cory Jefferson ($845K), Earl Clark ($1.18 million)

No ad available

Free agents: Brook Lopez, Thaddeus Young, Alan Anderson, Mirza Teletovic (r), Jerome Jordan

Raw depth chart:

PG: Deron Williams, Jarrett Jack, Steve Blake
SG: Joe Johnson, Darius Morris, Markel Brown
SF: Bojan Bogdanovic, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, Sergey Karasev
PF: Chris McCullough, Cory Jefferson, Earl Clark
C: N/A

Team needs: Starting center and power forward, wing depth, backup center

The Nets will push hard to re-sign both Brook Lopez and Thaddeus Young to keep their playoff roster together as much as possible. From there, they'll have to make decisions between re-signing Alan Anderson or Mirza Teletovic. But they'll still need a backup center, especially with Lopez's injury concerns. They are close to a full roster already, but can waive Morris or Clark pretty easily to make room for another big man. There's a chance they can make major changes to the roster by dealing Joe Johnson's expiring contract ($24.8M).

CHARLOTTE HORNETS

Projected cap space: None

Max cap space possible: None

Non-guaranteed deals: None

Free agents: Mo Williams, Bismack Biyombo, Jeff Taylor (r), Jason Maxiell

Raw depth chart:

PG: Kemba Walker, Brian Roberts
SG: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, P.J. Hairston, Troy Daniels
SF: Nicolas Batum, Jeremy Lamb
PF: Marvin Williams, Cody Zeller
C: Al Jefferson, Frank Kaminsky, Spencer Hawes

Team needs: Backup point guard, forward depth

In terms of free agency, there's not a whole lot the Hornets can do. They can throw their mid-level exception at a backup point guard, but they don't have Bird rights to try to re-sign Mo Williams to anything above the bi-annual exception or MLE. They have tons of roster flexibility with expiring contracts like Batum ($13.1M), Jefferson ($13.5M) and Marvin Williams ($7M) if they want to shake up the roster further, but they mostly just have exceptions to fill out some depth on the roster. They didn't tender a qualifying offer to Bismack Biyombo, likely signaling he's gone from the team's plans.

CHICAGO BULLS

Projected cap space: None

Max cap space possible: None

Non-guaranteed deals: E'Twaun Moore ($1 million), Cameron Bairstow ($845K)

Free agents: Jimmy Butler (r), Mike Dunleavy, Aaron Brooks, Nazr Mohammed

Raw depth chart:

PG: Derrick Rose, Kirk Hinrich
SG: Tony Snell, E'Twaun Moore
SF: Doug McDermott
PF: Pau Gasol, Taj Gibson, Nikola Mirotic, Bobby Portis
C: Joakim Noah, Cameron Bairstow

No ad available

Team needs: Starting wing players, backup point guard

The Bulls extended the qualifying offer and the maximum qualifying offer to Jimmy Butler, which essentially means he has to call their bluff and except the one-year qualifying offer ($4.4 million) in order to still try to take advantage of the crazy jump in salary cap next summer. The best another team can do is offer a three-year offer sheet without any options, which doesn't fit into Butler's plan of signing a short-term offer sheet and testing the waters again soon. The Bulls also need to re-sign Mike Dunleavy (they have his early Bird rights) and find a capable backup point guard with one of their exceptions (MLE, bi-annual).

CLEVELAND CAVALIERS

Projected cap space: None ($24.6 million without cap holds)

Max cap space possible: None

Non-guaranteed deals: Brendan Haywood ($10.5 million)

Free agents: LeBron James, Kevin Love, Tristan Thompson (r), J.R. Smith, Matthew Dellavedova (r), Iman Shumpert (r), James Jones, Kendrick Perkins

Raw depth chart:

PG: Kyrie Irving
SG: Joe Harris
SF: Mike Miller, Cedi Osman
PF: Rakeem Christmas
C: Timofey Mozgov, Anderson Varejao, Brendan Haywood

No ad available

Team needs: Re-sign their free agents, sign wing depth with an exception

This one is pretty simple. The Cavs re-sign Kevin Love, they re-sign Tristan Thompson, they re-sign Iman Shumpert, they re-sign Matthew Dellavedova and they see if some combination of James Jones and Kendrick Perkins want to come back again. Then the Cavs will decide if they want to use their exceptions on wing depth or a backup point guard so Dellavedova can play more off-ball. The Cavs can also use the non-guaranteed contract of Haywood to acquire some help for anywhere on the roster. The biggest decision they have to make is if they trust J.R. Smith enough to bring him back to a team that should be Finals bound if healthy.

DETROIT PISTONS

Projected cap space: $19.26 million ($24.77 million without cap holds)

Max cap space possible: $28.75 million

Non-guaranteed deals: Anthony Tolliver ($3 million), Quincy Miller ($981K)

Free agents: Greg Monroe, Reggie Jackson (r), Tayshaun Prince, Cartier Martin, Joel Anthony, John Lucas III

Raw depth chart:

PG: Brandon Jennings, Spencer Dinwiddie
SG: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Jodie Meeks
SF: Stanley Johnson, Quincy Miller
PF: Ersan Ilyasova, Anthony Tolliver
C: Andre Drummond

No ad available

Team needs: Starting/backup point guard, backup center, wing depth

Greg Monroe's time as a Detroit Piston is more than likely up, and that's just fine with Stan Van Gundy, who wants more of a stretch-4 out there. The question for the Pistons is how much do they trust the rehab process for Brandon Jennings? Reggie Jackson wasn't a disaster, but he doesn't really fit SVG's style of play because he can't shoot. If Jennings can come back healthy, the Pistons should be fine, but they need more playmaking on the wings, and a backup center. Jackson's cap hold is only $5.5 million, so they won't be handcuffed by inactivity with his future.

INDIANA PACERS

Projected cap space: $13 million

Max cap space possible: $13 million

Non-guaranteed deals: None

Free agents: David West, Rodney Stuckey, C.J. Watson, Donald Sloan, Luis Scola, Lavoy Allen, Chris Copeland (r)

Raw depth chart:

PG: George Hill
SG: C.J. Miles, Joseph Young
SF: Paul George, Solomon Hill
PF: Myles Turner, Damjan Rudez
C: Roy Hibbert, Ian Mahinmi

No ad available

Team needs: Starting power forward, backup point guard, starting shooting guard

A lot of the depth the Indiana Pacers were hoping to have with a healthy roster could be gutted with upwards of seven free agents on the market. It sounds like David West is gone, and that leaves a huge hole in their attack and depth. They probably would've liked Roy Hibbert not to opt in because it would've given them much more salary cap flexibility, but they can now use his expiring deal as bait. If they're going to blow it up and retool around Paul George, moving Hibbert and George Hill become the priorities this summer. Otherwise, restock the starting lineup with a wing to go next to PG13 and a big man to go next to Hibbert.

MIAMI HEAT

Projected cap space: None

Max cap space possible: $11.3 million

Non-guaranteed deals: Hassan Whiteside ($981K), James Ennis ($845K)

Free agents: Goran Dragic, Dwyane Wade, Michael Beasley

Raw depth chart:

PG: Mario Chalmers, Shabazz Napier
SG: Zoran Dragic, Tyler Johnson
SF: Luol Deng, Justise Winslow, James Ennis
PF: Chris Bosh, Josh McRoberts, Udonis Haslem
C: Hassan Whiteside, Chris Andersen

Team needs: Re-sign Dwyane Wade, re-sign Goran Dragic, one more shooter

The Miami Heat have to convince Dwyane Wade that the number they're offering is the best number he's going to get, and that he should remain a member of the organization for the rest of his career. They can probably help that by going out and re-signing Goran Dragic right away, which they play on doing. They could use one more shooter on the roster, preferably from the wing.

MILWAUKEE BUCKS

Projected cap space: $8.7 million ($11.4 million without cap holds)

Max cap space possible: $18.2 million

Non-guaranteed deals: Caron Butler ($4.5 million), Jorge Gutierrez ($947K), Shawne Williams ($1.3 million)

Free agents: Khris Middleton (r)

Raw depth chart:

PG: Michael Carter-Williams, Greivis Vasquez, Tyler Ennis, Jorge Gutierrez
SG: O.J. Mayo, Rashad Vaughn, Jerryd Bayless, Damien Inglis
SF: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Caron Butler, Jared Dudley
PF: Jabari Parker, John Henson, Shawne Williams, Johnny O'Bryant
C: Zaza Pachulia, Miles Plumlee

Team needs: Re-sign Khris Middleton, sign starting big man

The Bucks look like they have a crowded roster, and they sort of do. But they also have a lot of expendable non-guaranteed contracts that can open up some room to spend. Khris Middleton's cap hold is under $3 million, so waiving Butler, Williams and Gutierrez could put them in prime position to work a sign-and-trade for a big man on the market. Even grabbing a free agent like Tyson Chandler before re-signing Middleton to a healthy deal with give this team incredible depth and versatility heading into next season. And they have the expiring contracts to do even more creative roster moves.

NEW YORK KNICKS

Projected cap space: $28.8 million

Max cap space possible: $30.6 million

Non-guaranteed deals: Langston Galloway ($845K), Ricky Ledo ($947K)

Free agents: Andrea Bargnani, Jason Smith, Alexey Shved, Cole Aldrich, Quincy Acy, Lou Amundson, Shane Larkin, Lance Thomas, Travis Wear

Raw depth chart:

PG: Jose Calderon, Jerian Grant
SG: Langston Galloway, Ricky Ledo
SF: Carmelo Anthony, Cleanthony Early
PF: Kristaps Porzingis
C: N/A

Team needs: Starting big men, starting shooting guard, backup big men, outside shooting

Cap holds shouldn't factor into eating the Knicks' cap space at all this summer because there's not really anybody they should be set on bringing back. Jason Smith could be a solid option for a third big man for them, and you could see them hoping to catch lightning in a bottle with Alexey Shved again like they did at the end of the season. But this roster needed an overhaul and they need to target a big man who can excel in the Triangle. They'll set their sights on Greg Monroe and LaMarcus Aldridge with Monroe the likely target. Maybe they'll fit in Arron Afflalo as well at shooting guard and try to grab David West on a discount. The goal shouldn't be to build a contender this summer because that's not realistic. Just don't be a laughing stock and grab some shooting.

ORLANDO MAGIC

Projected cap space: $15.5 million ($22.7 million without cap holds)

Max cap space possible: $24.5 million

Non-guaranteed deals: Roy Devyn Marble ($845K), Dewayne Dedmon ($947K)

Free agents: Tobias Harris (r), Kyle O'Quinn (r), Ben Gordon, Willie Green

Raw depth chart:

PG: Elfrid Payton, Devyn Marble
SG: Victor Oladipo, Mario Hezonja, Evan Fournier
SF: Aaron Gordon, Maurice Harkless
PF: Channing Frye, Andrew Nicholson
C: Nikola Vucevic, Dewayne Dedmon

Team needs: Backup point guard, backup big man, outside shooter

The Magic have put together a deep core of young players that just need some time to gel together and a couple of spots plugged in. After being the first of many teams to trade Luke Ridnour this offseason, the Magic could use a veteran backup point guard to provide support to Elfrid Payton. Outside of that, they'll probably figure out if Tobias Harris' new price tag is something they want to match despite him having a down year. And bringing back Kyle O'Quinn could be the depth inside they're looking for. Orlando doesn't need much; they just need time.

PHILADELPHIA 76ERS

Projected cap space: $30 million

Max cap space possible: $36.7 million

Non-guaranteed deals: Robert Covington ($1 million), Isaiah Canaan ($947K), Hollis Thompson ($947K), Jakarr Sampson ($845K)

Free agents: Thomas Robinson, Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, Ish Smith, Jason Richardson, Glenn Robinson III (r), Henry Sims (r)

Raw depth chart:

PG: Isaiah Canaan, Tony Wroten, Jr.
SG: Jakarr Sampson, Hollis Thompson, J.P. Tokoto
SF: Robert Covington, Jerami Grant
PF: Nerlens Noel, Furkan Aldemir, Richaun Holmes
C: Jahlil Okafor, Joel Embiid

Team needs: Everything that isn't a promising big man

The only thing that can get the Sixers to spend money this summer is the Players Union investigation seeing if they're violating the Collective Bargaining Agreement by not spending to the salary floor in the offseason. Other than that, $12 million of their committed money for next season is to JaVale McGee, who is no longer on the team. The Sixers are still acquiring high-reward prospects and filling in with players they think they can develop for cheap. Don't expect them to be major players this summer.

TORONTO RAPTORS

Projected cap space: $1.5 million ($20.1 million without cap holds)

Max cap space possible: $22.8 million

Non-guaranteed deals: Luke Ridnour ($2.75 million)

Free agents: Amir Johnson, Lou Williams, Landry Fields, Tyler Hansbrough, Chuck Hayes, Greg Stiemsma

Raw depth chart:

PG: Kyle Lowry, Delon Wright, Luke Ridnour
SG: DeMar DeRozan, Norman Powell
SF: Terrence Ross, James Johnson, Bruno Caboclo
PF: Patrick Patterson
C: Jonas Valanciunas, Lucas Nogueira

Team needs: Starting power forward, backup big man, backup combo guard

If the Toronto Raptors want to move away from Amir Johnson and Lou Williams, they can renounce their rights and become big time players in free agency. They'll target LaMarcus Aldridge, but we don't know if he'll truly consider them. They need a starting power forward, and preferably one who can provide some scoring. If Lucas Nogueira isn't ready to contribute, they'll need another big man and they also need a scorer off the bench -- like a Lou Williams. We could just see them bring the band back together and correct the pitfalls of the final four months of the season.

WASHINGTON WIZARDS

Projected cap space: None

Max cap space possible: None

Non-guaranteed deals: None

Free agents: Paul Pierce, Drew Gooden, Kevin Seraphin, Rasual Butler, Will Bynum

Raw depth chart:

PG: John Wall, Ramon Sessions, Garrett Temple
SG: Bradley Beal, Martell Webster
SF: Otto Porter, Kelly Oubre
PF: Nene, Kris Humphries, DeJuan Blair
C: Marcin Gortat

Team needs: Backup center, wing depth

The goal for the Washington Wizards is to be players for Kevin Durant next summer when he becomes a restricted free agent. They can clear significant cap space to offer him a max deal if they just stay patient and be frugal this offseason. They need a backup center, and maybe they bring back Paul Pierce to provide depth on the perimeter, but don't expect major moves from Washington for at least another year.

WESTERN CONFERENCE

DALLAS MAVERICKS

Projected cap space: $32.7 million

Max cap space possible: $33.5 million

Non-guaranteed deals: Dwight Powell ($845K)

Free agents: Monta Ellis, Tyson Chandler , J.J. Barea, Al-Farouq Aminu, Amar'e Stoudemire, Rajon Rondo, Richard Jefferson, Greg Smith, Charlie Villanueva, Bernard James (r)

Raw depth chart:

PG: Devin Harris, Raymond Felton
SG: N/A
SF: Chandler Parsons, Justin Anderson
PF: Dirk Nowitzki, Dwight Powell
C: N/A

Team needs: Starting center, shooting guard, and point guard; interior depth, wing depth

The Mavericks have been carefully cultivating flexibility with their roster for a couple years now, and can pounce on the free agent market this summer. Dallas is expected to be major suitors for free agents DeAndre Jordan, Danny Green and even LaMarcus Aldridge. Depending on what happens with Monta Ellis, they could end up falling back on him as a starting shooting guard of the future, but the idea seems to be to try to grab the interior first and fill in the backcourt later. They'll only have all of this cap space if they renounce the rights to their free agents, but they'll only be forced to do so if they sign new players.

DENVER NUGGETS

Projected cap space: $5.86 million

Max cap space possible: $8.99 million

Non-guaranteed deals: Randy Foye ($3.1 million)

Free agents: Darrell Arthur, Jameer Nelson, Ian Clark (r), Will Barton (r)

Raw depth chart:

PG: Ty Lawson, Emmanuel Mudiay, Erick Greene
SG: Randy Foye , Gary Harris, Jamaal Franklin
SF: Danilo Gallinari, Wilson Chandler
PF: Kenneth Faried. J.J. Hickson
C: Jusuf Nurkic, Joffrey Lauvergne

Team needs: PF/C depth, backup wing

This summer will be the crossroads for the Nuggets. They don't have a lot of spending flexibility, but they could trade or waive Randy Foye's non-guaranteed deal and have enough room to add a significant mid-tier free agent, either at the center or power forward position. The drafting of Mudiay puts the shot clock on Lawson's time with the Nuggets, but that doesn't mean they have to move him this summer. We could see them trade off a lot of their veterans and start a big time youth movement. Nuggets have to decide if they want to be buyers or sellers.

GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS

Projected cap space: None

Max cap space possible: None

Non-guaranteed deals: James McAdoo ($845K)

Free agents: Draymond Green (r), Justin Holiday (r), Leandro Barbosa, Ognjen Kuzmic (r)

Raw depth chart:

PG: Stephen Curry, Shaun Livingston
SG: Klay Thompson, Brandon Rush
SF: Harrison Barnes, Andre Iguodala
PF: David Lee, Marreese Speights, Kevon Looney,James McAdoo
C: Andrew Bogut, Festus Ezeli

Team needs: Re-sign Draymond Green, grab a rotation guard

The world champs are headed toward one of the more historic luxury tax bills in NBA history when they re-sign or match a max offer sheet to Draymond Green this summer, but they're just fine with this. Joe Lacob and company want to keep the title-winning core together and see if they can think about repeating. Only flexibility the Warriors can really swing is moving the expiring contract of David Lee out for a couple of players -- preferably some wing and guard depth.

HOUSTON ROCKETS

Projected cap space: $1.7 million ($4.4 million without cap holds)

Max cap space possible: $10.93 million

Non-guaranteed deals: Pablo Prigioni ($1.7 million), Kostas Papanikolaou ($4.79 million)

Free agents: Patrick Beverley (r), K.J. McDaniels (r), Corey Brewer, Josh Smith, Jason Terry

Raw depth chart:

PG: Pablo Prigioni
SG: James Harden, Nick Johnson
SF: Trevor Ariza, Sam Dekker, Kostas Papanikolaou
PF: Terrence Jones, Donatas Motiejunas, Montrezl Harrell
C: Dwight Howard, Clint Capela, Joey Dorsey

Team needs: Starting point guard, guard depth, backup small forward

In theory, the Houston Rockets could just re-sign Patrick Beverley, K.J. McDaniels and even Jason Terry to be pretty set with their roster for next year. Despite big injuries throughout the season, the Rockets finished with the 2-seed in the ultra-competitive Western Conference. Renouncing free-agent rights of their guys, plus getting rid of the non-guaranteed deals could start putting them in a position to be a real player in free agency. They could target LaMarcus Aldridge, send out some combination of veteran forwards and bring him in to be the third star next to Harden and Howard. But they still need someone next to Harden in the backcourt and a well-balanced team will probably have more stability.

LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS

Projected cap space: None

Max cap space possible: $7.46 million

Non-guaranteed deals: Jamal Crawford ($5.6 million), Jordan Hamilton ($1 million), Lester Hudson ($1 million)

Free agents: DeAndre Jordan , Austin Rivers, Glen Davis, Dahntay Jones, Hedo Turkoglu, Ekpe Udoh

Raw depth chart:

PG: Chris Paul, Lester Hudson
SG: J.J. Redick, Jamal Crawford , C.J. Wilcox
SF: Lance Stephenson, Branden Dawson, Jordan Hamilton
PF: Blake Griffin
C: N/A

Team needs: Starting center (Jordan has to come back), backup point guard, interior depth

Doc Rivers and the Los Angeles Clippers can't mess around here. The best they can do is walk away from this summer with giving DeAndre Jordan a five-year, $100 million contract and hoping he accepts. With reports that he's starting to lean toward leaving the Clippers (or at least consider it), it's not like the Clippers have a backup plan of turning elsewhere with that money. They have no real cap room. They'll likely look to re-sign Austin Rivers and hope for some low-price veterans to fill out the interior depth. But if Jordan rebukes them and leaves for somewhere else, they may have to desperately look into a sign-and-trade for someone like Tyson Chandler.

LOS ANGELES LAKERS

Projected cap space: $22.6 million

Max cap space possible: $26.2 million

Non-guaranteed deals: Robert Sacre ($981K), Jabari Brown ($845K), Jordan Clarkson ($845K), Tarik Black ($845K)

Free agents: Jordan Hill, Jeremy Lin, Carlos Boozer, Ed Davis, Wayne Ellington, Wesley Johnson, Ronnie Price, Vander Blue

Raw depth chart:

PG: D'Angelo Russell, Jordan Clarkson
SG: Kobe Bryant, Nick Young, Jabari Brown
SF: Anthony Brown
PF: Julius Randle, Ryan Kelly
C: Robert Sacre , Tarik Black

Team needs: Starting center, starting small forward, forward depth

The Lakers are hoping to be major players in free agency and actually land a star player this time around. They've been declined the past few summers by bigger free-agent targets, but LaMarcus Aldridge and Kevin Love will likely be the two players they try to woo away from actual title contenders. The Lakers are just hoping to land a significant free agent, so they can get their confidence back in the free agency game and prove they're still a prime destination for NBA stars. There will also be rumors of the Lakers still having the flexibility to trade for DeMarcus Cousins, but the Sacramento Kings still have to be the ones who agree to such a move.

MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES

Projected cap space: None ($11.8 million without cap holds)

Max cap space possible: $19.2 million

Non-guaranteed deals: Matt Barnes ($3.5 million), Beno Udrih ($2.17 million), Russ Smith ($845K), JaMychal Green ($845K)

Free agents: Marc Gasol, Kosta Koufos, Nick Calathes (r)

Raw depth chart:

PG: Mike Conley, Beno Udrih , Russ Smith
SG: Courtney Lee, Tony Allen, Jordan Adams
SF: Vince Carter, Matt Barnes
PF: Zach Randolph, Jeff Green, Jarell Martin, JaMychal Green , Jarnell Stokes
C: N/A

Team needs: Re-sign Marc Gasol, backup center, backup point guard

Ideally, the Grizzlies would re-sign Marc Gasol and Kosta Koufos. There doesn't seem to be a real threat of any team poaching Gasol in free agency, and the buzz around other teams trying to steal him has been dying for months. Keeping Koufos could be tricky though. He's arguably the best backup center in the NBA and some team could come knocking and offer him a starting gig. If that happens, the Grizzlies will have to either rely on their group of undersized but strong power forwards to do the job or go searching for a backup to Gasol. The backup point guard situation is currently Beno Udrih, but the Grizzlies would probably love a more stable and talented backup (Udrih is fine but you can upgrade).

MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES

Projected cap space: None ($3.66 million without cap holds)

Max cap space possible: $4.6 million

Non-guaranteed deals: Lorenzo Brown ($947K)

Free agents: Gary Neal, Kevin Garnett, Robbie Hummel (r), Justin Hamilton (r), Arinze Onuaku (r)

Raw depth chart:

PG: Ricky Rubio, Tyus Jones, Lorenzo Brown
SG: Kevin Martin, Zach LaVine, Chase Budinger
SF: Andrew Wiggins, Shabazz Muhammad, Nemanja Bjelica
PF: Karl-Anthony Towns, Anthony Bennett, Adreian Payne
C: Gorgui Dieng, Nikola Pekovic

Team needs: Re-sign Kevin Garnett

There are a lot of things the Wolves would probably like to do. They'd love to find a taker for Nikola Pekovic's contract. They'd love to find someone to give them some kind of asset in exchange for Anthony Bennett or Chase Budinger's contract or both. But the team is bringing over Euroleague MVP Nemanja Bjelica, and they're hoping (and likely) to re-sign Kevin Garnett. Other than that, they're just happy to see which players grow together on this roster.

NEW ORLEANS PELICANS

Projected cap space: $4.4 million ($9.5 million without cap holds)

Max cap space possible: $10.7 million

Non-guaranteed deals: Toney Douglas ($1.1 million)

Free agents: Omer Asik, Norris Cole (r), Dante Cunningham, Jimmer Fredette, Alexis Ajinca, Luke Babbitt, Jeff Withey (r)

Raw depth chart:

PG: Jrue Holiday, Toney Douglas
SG: Eric Gordon, Tyreke Evans
SF: Quincy Pondexter
PF: Anthony Davis, Ryan Anderson
C: N/A

Team needs: Starting center, rotation wing (shooter), backup point guard, backup center

With Alvin Gentry taking over this team, you can expect them to attack quickly and play a lot of small ball with Anthony Davis at the center. However, to alleviate some of the wear-and-tear the center position can bring, having a starting center and a backup to put alongside Davis is the smart way to go. We could see a lot of three-guard lineups featuring Holiday, Gordon, and Evans, but they'll need at least one more shooting wing in the rotation, and they'll probably look into bringing Norris Cole back after his impressive playoff stretch. If he becomes too pricey to match, there are plenty of point guards available to try to sign.

OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER

Projected cap space: None

Max cap space possible: None

Non-guaranteed deals: None

Free agents: Enes Kanter (r), Kyle Singler (r)

Raw depth chart:

PG: Russell Westbrook, Cameron Payne, D.J. Augustin
SG: Anthony Morrow, Dion Waiters
SF: Kevin Durant , Andre Roberson, Perry Jones III
PF: Serge Ibaka, Nick Collison, Mitch McGary, Steve Novak
C: Steven Adams, Dakari Johnson

Team needs: Re-sign Enes Kanter, see if Josh Huestis adds to the roster

There isn't much the Thunder have to do this offseason, other than get healthy. With Kevin Durant coming back to a very deep team, the Thunder really just have to worry about keeping Enes Kanter as a Sixth Man-type big off the bench, and maybe even bring 2014 first-round pick Josh Huestis to the roster. There are too many players available, so putting Dakari Johnson in the D-League, waiving or trading the non-guaranteed deal of Luke Ridnour and finding a take for restricted free agent Kyle Singler (possibly in a trade for a second-round pick) are just housekeeping moves to make.

PHOENIX SUNS

Projected cap space: $10.6 million ($19.5 million without cap holds)

Max cap space possible: $21.5 million

Non-guaranteed deals: Jon Leuer ($1 million), Jerel McNeal ($947K)

Free agents: Brandon Knight (r), Brandan Wright, Gerald Green, Marcus Thornton, Earl Barron

Raw depth chart:

PG: Eric Bledsoe, Andrew Harrison, Jerel McNeal
SG: Devin Booker, P.J. Tucker, Archie Goodwin
SF: Marcus Morris, Danny Granger, T.J. Warren, Reggie Bullock
PF: Markieff Morris, Jon Leuer
C: Alex Len

Team needs: Starting guard, big man depth, backup point guard

The Suns need to figure out where they're headed. Are they the two point guard attack we saw with Goran Dragic and Eric Bledsoe, and can you replicate that with Bledsoe and Brandon Knight? If they re-sign Knight, do they try to move Bledsoe for more assets or maybe a big man? Phoenix has a lot of depth on the wings, but they need to figure out how to channel that into a more balanced attack. Alex Len made big strides last season, but he needs depth behind him. They could use a better backup point guard if they're going to keep Bledsoe and Knight together.

PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS

Projected cap space: $8.8 million ($39 million without cap holds)

Max cap space possible: $46.6 million

Non-guaranteed deals: Chris Kaman ($5 million), Allen Crabbe ($947K), Tim Frazier ($845K)

Free agents: LaMarcus Aldridge , Wesley Matthews, Arron Afflalo , Robin Lopez, Dorell Wright, Alonzo Gee, Joel Freeland (r)

Raw depth chart:

PG: Damian Lillard, Tim Frazier
SG: C.J. McCollum , Allen Crabbe
SF: Gerald Henderson
PF: Noah Vonleh
C: Meyers Leonard, Mason Plumlee, Chris Kaman

Team needs: Starting power forward, starting shooting guard, rotation wing, backup point guard

The Blazers are in a tight spot. Months ago, they probably never thought they'd have to worry about the threat of LaMarcus Aldridge leaving. Now, depending on the rumors you believe, he could be out the door. If they can't find a way to convince him to stay, Portland has to make a real decision on how they want to retool this roster. Do they renounce the rights to their free agents, tank for a year, add a star prospect (2016 first-round pick owed to Denver, lottery protected) and go into next summer with oodles of cap space? Or do they go try to get someone like David West or Greg Monroe while relying on Lillard as their main star?

SACRAMENTO KINGS

Projected cap space: None ($7.9 million without cap holds)

Max cap space possible: $10.5 million

Non-guaranteed deals: Ray McCallum ($947K), Eric Moreland ($845K), David Stockton ($845K)

Free agents: Andre Miller, Derrick Williams (r), Omri Casspi, Reggie Evans, Ryan Hollins

Raw depth chart:

PG: Darren Collison, Ray McCallum , David Stockton
SG: Ben McLemore, Nik Stauskas
SF: Rudy Gay
PF: Jason Thompson, Carl Landry, Eric Moreland
C: DeMarcus Cousins , Willie Cauley-Stein

Team needs: Depth on the wings, backup power forward, backup point guard

The majority of the flexibility with the Kings this summer is whether or not they want to entertain bringing back Derrick Williams. If they decide to renounce their rights to him and aren't attached to the other free agents, they'll have about $8 million plus the room exception to go find some depth. Their starting positions should be set, but they need another big man (unless Carl Landry can be healthy) and they really need backups at both wing positions. The focus will be on teams trying to poach DeMarcus Cousins, but the Kings are more likely to be buyers this summer in the trade market than sellers.

SAN ANTONIO SPURS

Projected cap space: None ($31.8 million without cap holds)

Max cap space possible: $32.3 million

Non-guaranteed deals: Reggie Williams ($1.1 million)

Free agents: Tim Duncan, Kawhi Leonard (r), Manu Ginobili, Cory Joseph (r), Matt Bonner, Marco Belinelli, Aron Baynes (r), Jeff Ayres , Danny Green

Raw depth chart:

PG: Tony Parker, Patty Mills
SG: Reggie Williams
SF: Kyle Anderson
PF: Boris Diaw
C: Tiago Splitter

Team needs: Keep the band together

The Spurs have all of the flexibility they want. The zero cap space projected is simply eaten up by all of the cap holds to Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green. In reality, they can finagle that however they choose, and reports already say Duncan will take a pay cut to try to convince someone like LaMarcus Aldridge to come to San Antonio. From there, they'll re-sign Kawhi Leonard, get a decision on Ginobili's future (retirement?) and hopefully find room for Danny Green (that would require moving Diaw or Splitter). They don't have to do anything but re-sign their guys, but they're in a position to make a big splash.

UTAH JAZZ

Projected cap space: $5.1 million ($9.5 million without cap holds)

Max cap space possible: $17.8 million

Non-guaranteed deals: Trevor Booker ($4.7 million), Elijah Millsap ($845K), Chris Johnson ($981K), Bryce Cotton ($845K), Jack Cooley ($845K)

Free agents: Jeremy Evans, Joe Ingles (r)

Raw depth chart:

PG: Trey Burke, Dante Exum, Olivier Hanlan, Bryce Cotton
SG: Alec Burks, Elijah Millsap
SF: Gordon Hayward, Rodney Hood, Chris Johnson
PF: Derrick Favors, Trey Lyles, Trevor Booker
C: Rudy Gobert, Grant Jerrett, Jack Cooley

Team needs: Point guard position, backup shooting guard

The Jazz can clear a significant amount of cap space this summer if they want to, which would most likely lead to them trying to swing a big trade. For the most part, their roster is set moving into next season and they don't have to tinker. Their biggest need is at the point guard position, but they may have that solution on the roster with Trey Burke (needs to learn how to hit shots) or Dante Exum (just needs more experience). The Jazz can keep Jeremy Evans and Joe Ingles, release two of the non-guaranteed guys and just capitalize on the success they had after the All-Star break.
