Phillies' Andrick Nava: Makes 2022 debut
Nava (shoulder) made his 2022 debut Sunday for High-A Jersey Shore and went 2-for-3 with a walk and a run in the affiliate's 8-4 loss to Aberdeen.
Nava, who spent the 2021 campaign at the rookie-ball level, appeared in only three games before suffering a season-ending shoulder injury. The 20-year-old backstop evidently made enough progress over the offseason to receive an assignment to a full-season affiliate coming out of spring training. Nava was limited to designated-hitter duties Sunday, so the Phillies could exercise some caution with him before he's cleared to resume catching on a full-time basis.

Phillies' Andrick Nava: Recovering from shoulder injury
Nava has missed the first few months of the season with a shoulder injury, but he could return to game action for Low-A Clearwater prior to the end of the season, Chris Hilburn-Trenkle of Baseball America reports.
He was sent on a rehab assignment to the Florida Complex League in July, but hasn't appeared in a game since July 13, so it's unclear if he suffered a setback.
