  • Orioles' Dean Kremer: Fans 10, matches career high

Kremer (1-2) earned the win Wednesday over the Angels, allowing two runs on three hits and one walk over 5.1 innings while striking out 10.

Kremer shut out the Angels over the first five innings before surrendering a solo homer to Mike Trout in the sixth, followed by a single to Nolan Schanuel, which would lead to the right-hander being relieved by Jacob Webb. Kremer dominated Los Angeles' lineup with his four-seamer throughout the day while matching his career high with 10 strikeouts. He's now allowed three or fewer hits in three of his five starts to open the season, though he's also given up at least one home run in all but one of those outings.

  • Orioles' Dean Kremer: Hit with second loss

Kremer (0-2) took the loss Friday against Kansas City, allowing three earned runs on two hits and three walks while striking out three batters across 5.2 frames.

Kremer held Baltimore off the scoreboard until Vinnie Pasquantino took him deep during the fourth inning. The score was still 1-0 when Kremer left the game in the sixth with two runners on base - both of whom came around to score - and a failed late rally by the Orioles' offense forced the right-hander to take his second loss of the young season. His performance Friday was certainly better than his previous outing against Milwaukee, and he's lined up for another chance to pick up his first win Wednesday against the Angels.

  • Orioles' Dean Kremer: Hit hard by Brew Crew

Kremer (0-1) took the loss Saturday, surrendering eight runs (six earned) on 10 hits and a walk over four innings. He struck out three.

Baltimore jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning, but it evaporated quickly in the wild contest. Kremer served up homers to Rhys Hoskins in the second inning and Jake Bauers in the fourth, with the latter putting Milwaukee in the lead for good. The 28-year-old right-hander had some trouble keeping the ball in the park in 2023 as well, posting a 1.41 HR/9, but he's otherwise had a solid start to the current campaign with a 1.22 WHIP and 14:2 K:BB through 16.1 innings to balance out his 4.96 ERA. Kremer will look for his first win of the year next weekend in Kansas City.

  • Orioles' Dean Kremer: Throws seven strong innings

Kremer did not factor into the decision Sunday against the Pirates, allowing one run (zero earned) on five hits over seven innings. He struck out six.

Kremer was at his best Sunday, with a self-inflicted throwing error in the fifth frame followed by a sacrifice fly representing the only run he allowed through seven high-quality innings. Kremer left the game with a one-run lead but a shaky performance from Yennier Cano combined with a game-ending throwing error cost Kremer and the Orioles an otherwise well-earned victory. Kremer has allowed three earned runs, eight hits and one walk with 11 strikeouts over 12.1 innings through two starts this season after making 32 starts last season for the Orioles, posting a 4.12 ERA and 1.31 WHIP with 157 Ks over 172.2 innings.
