Marlins' Dane Myers: Back in action Wednesday
Myers (elbow) will start in center field and bat sixth in Wednesday's game against the Phillies.
Myers departed Monday's game and didn't play Tuesday following a hit-by-pitch on his left elbow. However, he is feeling well enough to give it a go Wednesday in the third game of the series versus Philadelphia.

Marlins' Dane Myers: Expected to sit out Tuesday
Myers (elbow) is not expected to be in the lineup for Tuesday's contest versus the Phillies, Isaac Azout of FishOnFirst.com reports.
Myers exited Monday's 5-2 loss after being drilled in the left elbow by a pitch. X-rays came back negative, and the Marlins are hopeful Myers can avoid a stint on the 10-day injured list, but he will need at least one day of rest.

Marlins' Dane Myers: Exits game after HBP
Myers was removed in the fourth inning of Monday's game against the Phillies due to left elbow discomfort, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
Myers took a pitch to his left arm from Mick Abel in the second inning. Myers initially stayed in the game, but he went back to the clubhouse for the fourth frame, with Kyle Stowers shifting to center field and Heriberto Hernandez coming into the game in left. The Marlins should provide an update during or shortly after Monday's game once Myers undergoes further testing.

Marlins' Dane Myers: Goes deep in win
Myers went 3-for-4 with a solo homer in Sunday's win over the Nationals.
Myers' solo blast in the second inning proved to be the deciding run in the 3-1 victory. He went 8-for-13 during the weekend sweep against Washington and has produced six multi-hit performances over his last nine games. The hot streak has boosted his season OPS from .793 to .858 with 11 extra-base hits through 44 games.

Marlins' Dane Myers: Cracks two-run double
Myers went 3-for-5 with a two-run double and a run scored in Friday's 11-9 win over the Nationals.
Myers gave the Marlins a six-run lead in the third inning when his double off Mitchell Parker into center field brought Connor Norby and Eric Wagaman home. Myers has four multi-hit games over his last seven outings and has gone 10-for-35 (.286) with one steal and three RBI since returning from the 10-day injured list in late May.

Marlins' Dane Myers: Not starting Sunday
Myers is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.
Meyers went 0-for-5 with a walk and a run scored in his first two games since coming off the injured list Friday, and he'll head to the bench for Sunday's series finale. Javier Sanoja will instead start in center field versus San Francisco righty Hayden Birdsong.

Marlins' Dane Myers: Set to return Friday
Myers (oblique) is expected to be activated from the 10-day injured list Friday, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.
The outfielder began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Jacksonville this week but is apparently ready to rejoin the Marlins after going 1-for-4 with an RBI and a run in his lone game for the Jumbo Shrimp. Myers was one of the biggest early season surprises in baseball prior to suffering an oblique injury, as he posted a .337/.375/.482 slash line with three homers and seven steals through 29 games.

Marlins' Dane Myers: Reinstated Friday
The Marlins reinstated Myers (oblique) from the 10-day injured list Friday.
The 29-year-old landed on the shelf May 12 with an oblique strain and is rejoining the Marlins after playing just one rehab game with Triple-A Jacksonville. Prior to the injury, Myers had put together a strong start to the campaign with three homers, seven steals and an .857 OPS in 88 plate appearances. He should reclaim the starting job in center field.

Marlins' Dane Myers: Heading out on rehab assignment
Myers (oblique) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Jacksonville on Tuesday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
This is promising news for the club's starting center fielder, who's been shut down since May 12 due to a right oblique strain. He'll likely need at least a few games in the minor leagues before Miami feels comfortable activating him from the 10-day injured list

Marlins' Dane Myers: Set for MRI
Myers is dealing with back discomfort and is scheduled to undergo further imaging Monday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
Myers was held out of the lineup in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the White Sox in what initially appeared to be a rest day after he had started in each of the last eight games, but a back injury was at the root of his absence. The fact that he's being sent in for imaging suggests that the Marlins have some fear that Myers' back issue may be more than a day-to-day concern. If Myers is forced to miss any action moving forward, Derek Hill (wrist) -- who is nearing a return from the 10-day injured list -- could replace him as the Marlins' primary center fielder.

Marlins' Dane Myers: Shelved with oblique strain
The Marlins placed Myers on the 10-day injured list Monday due to a right oblique strain.
The severity of Myers' oblique strain won't be known until the results of his MRI are available, but he'll be out for at least the next week and a half after suffering the injury at some point over the weekend. Before getting hurt, Myers had been thriving as the Marlins' primary center fielder with a .340/.386/.528 slash line to go with three home runs and six stolen bases since mid-April. The Marlins reinstated Derek Hill (wrist) from the 10-day IL in a corresponding move, and he could end up seeing the bulk of the reps in center while Myers is on the shelf.

Marlins' Dane Myers: Getting Sunday off
Myers is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.
Myers has settled in as the Marlins' primary center fielder, slashing .308/.379/.462 with a home run, three walks, four stolen bases, four RBI and four runs while starting eight straight games prior to Sunday. Kyle Stowers will fill in for him. Derek Hill (wrist) is expected to be activated from the 10-day injured list this week, but Myers' stellar performance of late should give him some job security.

Marlins' Dane Myers: Swipes sixth bag
Myers went 2-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base in Monday's loss to the Dodgers.
The 29-year-old continues to make his case to be the Marlins' everyday center fielder. Over his last 12 games, Myers is batting .412 (14-for-34) with all three of his homers and five of his six steals on the season. Derek Hill (wrist) is making progress in his recovery, but as long as Myers is raking he'll be tough to dislodge from the lineup.

Marlins' Dane Myers: Getting regular run in center field
Myers will start in center field and bat sixth in Monday's game against the Dodgers.
Even with Jesus Sanchez (back) making his return to the lineup following a three-game absence, Myers will stick in center field for the fourth game in a row, while Sanchez covers right field. Though he's served mainly as a short-side platoon player during his time in the big leagues, Myers looks like he'll get at least semi-regular starts against right-handed pitching with Derek Hill (wrist) still on the injured list and with Griffin Conine (shoulder) going down with a season-ending injury. Myers has thus far gotten the job done against righties, slashing .286/.342/.457 over 38 plate appearances versus same-handed pitching.

Marlins' Dane Myers: On base four times Tuesday
Myers went 3-for-3 with a walk, an RBI and a stolen base in Tuesday's 15-2 loss to the Dodgers.
Little went right for the Marlins in this one, but Myers at least was a constant nuisance on the basepaths. The 29-year-old has had trouble carving out a regular spot in the lineup, but it's not for lack of trying -- he's started only five of the last 10 games, but during that span he's batting .435 (10-for-23) with two homers, two steals, six runs and eight RBI.

Marlins' Dane Myers: Slugs pinch-hit grand slam
Myers went 2-for-2 with a grand slam in Monday's extra-inning loss to the Dodgers.
Myers began the game on the bench for the second straight day, but that didn't prevent him from making a big impact. He pinch hit for Matt Mervis in the sixth inning and tied the game with one swing of the bat, launching a 405-foot grand slam to center field. Myers added a single in his other trip to the plate, giving him his first two-hit performance since April 20. He entered Monday having gone 1-for-10 with five strikeouts over his previous four games.

Marlins' Dane Myers: Not starting Sunday
Myers is not in Miami's starting lineup against Seattle on Sunday.
It'll be the second time in three games that Myers will be out of the lineup as the Marlins roll with Eric Wagaman, Jesus Sanchez and Kyle Stowers in the outfield Sunday. Myers has gone 1-for-10 with five strikeouts over his last three starts.
