  • Giants' Camilo Doval: Walked off Sunday

    Doval (6-6) allowed an unearned run on one hit to take the extra-inning loss Sunday versus the Dodgers. Doval gave up a walk-off single to Chris Taylor in the bottom of the 10th inning after the Giants failed to generate a run in their half of the frame. This wasn't a save situation, but it counted as Doval's second loss in his last four outings. He's allowed seven runs (two earned) over 2.2 innings in that short span. The closer has a 3.02 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 85:26 K:BB with 38 saves in 46 chances across 65.2 innings this season.

  • Giants' Camilo Doval: Grabs four-out save

    Doval struck out two over 1.1 perfect innings to earn the save in Friday's 5-1 win over the Dodgers. Doval cleaned up Tyler Rogers' mess in the eighth inning, and Tyler Fitzgerald provided some extra cushion with a two-run home run in the ninth. This was Doval's first save since Sept. 10 and his first chance in a week.     Doval (6-5) allowed two runs (one earned) on two hits and a walk Friday. He recorded just one out and was charged with a blown save and a loss against the Rockies. Doval was tasked with finishing a 2-1 win but couldn't get the job done. Elehuris Montero knocked an RBI single with one out and a throwing error by Mike Yastrzemski allowed the winning run to come home. Doval has yielded just one run over his last 7.2 innings since his last blown save Aug. 23. The 26-year-old now owns a 2.98 ERA with 37 saves in 45 chances this season.

  • Giants' Camilo Doval: Earns win Wednesday

    Doval (6-4) struck out one over 1.1 perfect innings to earn the win Wednesday over the Guardians. Doval got the last out of the ninth inning after Tyler Rogers put two on base. In the 10th, Doval was able to keep runs off the board again, allowing LaMonte Wade's sacrifice fly to walk it off for the Giants. Since his shaky stretch in mid-August, Doval has bounced back, allowing just one run over his last 7.2 innings. The 26-year-old is at a 2.86 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 82:25 K:BB with 37 saves in 44 chances over 63 innings this season.

  • Giants' Camilo Doval: Earns win after blown save

    Doval (4-3) got the win over the Rangers in an extra inning Sunday, but he allowed an unearned run on two hits and a walk and struck out one in 1.1 innings. Giants starter Logan Webb was one out away from a complete-game shutout Sunday, but manager Gabe Kapler would not take his chances and called upon Doval to close things out after Webb allowed a two-out double. Doval got what he thought was a game-ending groundball, but Ezequiel Duran beat the throw from Brandon Crawford and the run scored to force an extra inning. Doval worked through some trouble in the extra frame as well and allowed the Rangers to take the lead after he balked home a run following a leadoff single. The 25-year-old was bailed out in the bottom half of the frame after the Giants walked it off and awarded him his second win since the All-Star break. Doval now has two saves and a win in four appearances this month and sits at a 2.36 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 33 saves in 53 games on the year.
