A really nice gesture by the Mets on Friday night, honoring Mets fan Adam "MCA" Yauch of the Beastie Boys, who died on Friday by having every starter use a Beastie Boys song as their walk-up music.

Justin Turner and Scott Hairston spearheaded the tribute, according to Andy Martino of the New York Daily News (on Twitter), and Turner tweeted that Hairston had the Beastie Boys playing before the game:

Here's what each player used on Friday:

Ruben Tejada -- "Intergalactic"
Daniel Murphy -- "No Sleep till Brooklyn"
David Wright -- "Brass Monkey"
Lucas Duda -- "The New Style"
Scott Hairston -- "Root Down"
Ike Davis -- "Fight for Your Right"
Andres Torres -- "Sure Shot"
Josh Thole -- "Whatcha Want"
Dillon Gee -- "Body Movin'"

Yauch and the Beastie Boys are noted Mets fans and the group famously dropped names like Rod Carew and Sadaharu Oh in their lyrics.
