In a 5-1 victory over the Phillies, Red Sox catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia absolutely obliterated a baseball off Cliff Lee. MLB.com has the video.

According to the broadcast, the shot traveled 466 feet. ESPN.com's Home Run Tracker has Travis Hafner's April 15th shot at 481 feet and Josh Hamilton's April 17th homer at 469 feet. Other than those two, Saltalamacchia's blast Sunday was the longest homer of the season.

This was merely a continuation of what Saltalamacchia has been doing for just about a month. A dreadful start left him sitting with a .103/.161/.241 line after April 20. Since then, Saltalamacchia is hitting .351/.364/.716 with nine doubles, six homers, 13 runs and 17 RBI in 77 plate appearances. He's gotten his OPS-plus up over 130 for the season and only Matt Wieters (8 HR) has more home runs than Saltalamacchia (7) this season among catchers.
