Jones (ankle) is officially inactive for Sunday's game against Detroit, Michael DiRocco of ESPN reports.
Jones popped up on the injury report Thursday, failing to suit up in practice. With the 29-year-old sidelined, Doug Costin figures to see an increased role at defensive tackle for the contest. Jones will look to get healthy for next week's matchup against the Chargers.
