The Cardinals placed Dennard (undisclosed) on injured reserve Monday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
The transaction's timing brings an end to Dennard's 2021 season, barring an injury settlement. The nature of the veteran cornerback's injury remains undisclosed, but the fact that he's sidelined would seem to thrust rookie Marco Wilson into a larger backup role. Dennard only logged eight appearances in Atlanta last season before suffering a quadriceps injury.
