Sherman pled guilty Monday in King County (Wash.) Superior Court to two charges and an infraction stemming from a July 2021 arrest, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.

The charges included negligent driving in the first degree and criminal trespass in the second degree, while Sherman also received an infraction for speeding in a roadway construction zone. The off-field concerns kept him away from football until the Buccaneers came calling in September in the midst of a number of injuries within their secondary. But hamstring, calf and Achilles issues of his own contained Sherman to five appearances, which translated to 11 tackles, one interception and one fumble recovery. With his legal issues behind him, it remains to be seen if the soon-to-be 34-year-old will garner much interest on the free-agent market.
