Kwan is absent from the lineup for Friday's game in Miami.
The Guardians have now mixed in two off days for Kwan in the outfielder's first week back from a hamstring injury. David Fry will be the left fielder Friday and Tyler Freeman will be elevated to the leadoff spot.
