Colts' Jonathan Taylor: Not present for start of practice
Taylor (ankle) wasn't present at the start of Friday's practice, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
Taylor didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday, so unless he makes an appearance as the session progresses, his status for Sunday's game against the Titans will remain cloudy. If Taylor is unable to play this weekend, Trey Sermon and Tyler Goodson would be in line to handle the Colts' backfield duties Week 6.

Colts' Jonathan Taylor: Ruled out for Sunday
Head coach Shane Steichen noted Friday that Taylor (ankle) won't play Sunday against the Titans, JJ Stankevitz of the Colts' official site reports.
With Taylor set to miss his second straight contest, Trey Sermon and Tyler Goodson are in line to handle the Colts' backfield duties versus Tennessee on Sunday, with Evan Hull and Trent Pennix candidates to be elevated from the practice squad ahead of Week 6 action. Taylor's next chance to suit up for a game will occur Sunday, Oct. 20 against the Dolphins.

Colts' Jonathan Taylor: Misses another practice
Taylor (ankle) didn't practice Thursday.
Per James Boyd of The Athletic, Taylor -- who missed this past Sunday's 37-34 loss to the Jaguars -- is feeling "way better" relative to last week. After having missed back-to-back practices, though, what (if anything) he's able to do Friday will be telling with regard to his chances of suiting up this weekend against the Titans. Meanwhile, top backup Trey Sermon (collarbone) returned to a full practice Thursday.

Taylor (ankle) wasn't spotted at Thursday's practice, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
While Taylor appears on track to be listed as DNP for the second straight day, Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star relays that the running back indicated prior to practice that the "pain level has gone down tremendously" in his right ankle. Meanwhile, Taylor's top backup Trey Sermon (collarbone) didn't practice Wednesday but was present for Thursday's session.
