Their game two weeks ago wasn't at all kind to the UTEP Miners, but their most recent matchup may have softened the blow. They beat the New Mexico Lobos 20-13 on Saturday.
UTEP's win brought them up to 3-1. The loss dropped New Mexico back to even at 2-2.
The Miners will play host again and welcome the Old Dominion Monarchs to Sun Bowl, where kick-off is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET next Saturday. Unlike UTEP, Old Dominion will be limping in after taking a loss. New Mexico will look to defend their home turf next Saturday against the Air Force Falcons at 6:30 p.m. ET. Air Force is 1-1 after wins this season, and the Lobos are 0-1 after losses.
