NC State vs. Louisville Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAAF game

Game Recap

The Louisville Cardinals were the 34-20 winners over the NC State Wolfpack when they previously met in November of 2019. On Saturday? They had no such luck. U of L lost to NC State on the road by a decisive 28-13 margin. That's the fewest points the Cardinals have scored all season.

NC State's QB Devin Leary did his thing and passed for four TDs and 317 yards on 36 attempts.

No one had a standout game offensively for U of L, but they got one touchdown from WR Jordan Watkins. One of the most thrilling moments was Watkins' 76-yard TD reception in the first quarter.

The loss dropped U of L back to even at 4-4. The victory bumped the Wolfpack's record up to 6-2.

The Cardinals will look to defend their home turf next Saturday against the Clemson Tigers at noon ET. Clemson's offense will need to be on point to get points against U of L's defense, which is averaging only 15.25 points allowed per game. As for NC State, they will go up against the Florida State Seminoles at noon ET next Saturday at Bobby Bowden Field at Doak Campbell Stadium. NC State is 3-2 after wins this year, and FSU is 1-3 after losses.
