PHILADELPHIA (AP) Jack Schetelich threw for two touchdowns and ran for another and Villanova ended a four-game losing streak with a 28-7 win over Delaware on Saturday in the season finale.

Jeff Steeb had 13 tackles and returned an interception 38 yards for a touchdown as the Wildcats (5-6, 3-5 Colonial Athletic Association) kept the Blue Hens (7-4, 5-3) out of the end zone until the final minute. Ed Shockley had 10 tackles to give him 102 for the season and Aaron Forbes ran for 140 yards.

Schetelich, who was an efficient 5 of 7 for 61 yards, connected with Taurus for a 9-yard touchdown on the Wildcats' first drive, which covered 87 yards. Steeb's pick second made it 14-0.

Phillips hauled in a 37-yard scoring pass in the third quarter and Schetelich added a 1-yard plunge.

J.P. Caruso, who was 21 of 33 for 197 yards but with two interceptions, connected with J.P. Caruso for an 11-yard touchdown with 59 seconds to play.
