ABILENE, Texas (AP) Lue Williams scored 25 points and his three-point play with just over two minutes left in overtime put Tarleton State in front for good as the Texans beat Abilene Christian 76-73 on Thursday night.

Williams also contributed six rebounds for the Texans (14-7, 7-3 Western Athletic Conference). Jakorie Smith scored 17 points, going 6 of 16 (3 for 9 from 3-point range). Devon Barnes was 3 of 10 shooting, including 2 for 4 from 3-point range, and went 3 for 4 from the line to finish with 11 points.

Airion Simmons led the way for the Wildcats (8-13, 3-7) with 24 points and seven rebounds. Abilene Christian also got 10 points from Kavion McClain. Hunter Jack Madden also had nine points and two steals.

Up next for Tarleton State is a Saturday matchup with SFA at home, and Abilene Christian visits Seattle U on Thursday.
